If it will turn back on then it is not a simple blown fuse. If you heard it 'POP' then I would take an educated guess and say that the integrated output amplifier module has blown. You could try disconnecting from the power and taking off the lid and checking to see if there is any physical signs of damage, but, unfortunately there usually isn't. Without electronic knowledge it will be difficult to pinpoint and trial and error replacing parts can quickly become economically unviable. Sorry and Good luck.

I expect there is either a power supply issue or one of the amplifiers has failed causing over current to turn it off as a protection to the power supply.

Yes if it has a suitable speaker connection available and is nominally 8 ohms impedance Speaker and AV.

Being from 1985 or there abouts, it probably needs some TLC at a Yamaha service centre. May need new capacitors and resolder dry joints for age related issues.

WD-40 ... Very dangerous as it not only flammable when wet but is bad for electrical contacts as it leaves a residue behind that does not conduct electricity very well. Check speaker connections first.

(francais) hello in my issue the probleme was a little resistor r027 it's in this red zone and very ugly. easy to find. a friend was unsolded the resistor and weld a little wire after wash with isopropanole alcool. the resistor test the tension when we plug usb thing. less the resistor the usb ports don't work. you can buy r027 for 2 euros for 100 pieces.... or 2 euros for 5 10 pieces (funny).

You must repair the amplifier first. Take it to an authorised Yamaha service centre.

You can't do this. The SpeakerCraft is a standalone amplifier. The Yamaha is a Receiver and has its own amplifier. There is probably a glass fuse on the power board, but you have to find out WHY the fuse blew? Question edited for clarity and all the typos. The Yamaha receiver has to have a sound source and the speaker wires connect the two together. Receivers often have a a switch for Speaker set 1 and Speaker set 2, so you can send the music to two different rooms. Make sure you are on the correct set. These are supposed to be standalone television speakers by the looks of it connected to what they call an 'AV Processing Unit', I would guess more commonly called a Surround Sound Theatre System.
