What cable do you need to connect reciever to hdtv?

R-V905 doesn't appear to be HD compatible. It would need to have HDMI or component connections but the amp only has composite. You can only connect using the yellow video cable.http://download.yamaha.com/api/asset/file/?language=en&site=usa.yamaha.com&asset_id=35276

No left speaker a output, or distorted output.

That would have been a better first post.

I think you're right. Wiggle the speaker A left connection while listening at a medium volume level. You may reveal the cause.

Will not turn on.

It has an internal problem. Just received an RX-V2600 back from service for the same issue. It took a voltage drop then a spike. It takes out 5 caps and a few other parts. The repair will run roughly 250-275 depending on who does the service. Hope this helps

Yamaha R-V905 constantly turns itself off

Two things I think are happening. It is overheating and it has suffered some sort of damage to a component inside. Try to make sure there is ventilation on all sides. Can you remember a time where you did not have adequate ventilation for this device? If so maybe that is what caused the part inside to fail.

Hope this helps

Why does my Yamaha HTR-6130 power down after 3 seconds?

I expect there is either a power supply issue or one of the amplifiers has failed causing over current to turn it off as a protection to the power supply.

Yamaha M-60 Power Amplifier distortion and sound goes off sometimes

Being from 1985 or there abouts, it probably needs some TLC at a Yamaha service centre. May need new capacitors and resolder dry joints for age related issues.

WD-40 ... Very dangerous as it not only flammable when wet but is bad for electrical contacts as it leaves a residue behind that does not conduct electricity very well. Check speaker connections first.

How do I connect a SpeakerCraft BB275 to a Yamaha 5.1 receiver?

You can't do this. The SpeakerCraft is a standalone amplifier. The Yamaha is a Receiver and has its own amplifier. Putting amplified sound into a data input is not recommended and will cause component damage and overload 'clipping'. https://www.google.com/search?q=SpeakerCraft+BB275 https://www.google.com/search?q=Yamaha+5.1+receiver I deleted the two answers from AI Answer Bots as they are not doing you any favours suggesting it can be done in their waffling answers! ..
