Echo Zama Carb Kit For Shc212 Hedge Trimmer Clipper Questions & Answers
My Echo SHC-212 will start
The prior posters must be from the Briggs & Stratton era :0] This is an EPA carb. You can only adjust the idle speed. The Echo SHC-212 uses the Zama RB-K75 carb.
My SHC-212 had the same bogg/stall symptoms. I had to disassemble and clean the carb to get rid of it. There is an internal filter screen that sometimes clogs. I soak and use compressed air to blow out all orifices. But the real problem is leaving ethanol gas in the carb during storage. It warps the delicate gaskets/valves. So buy Zama rebuild kit.

I know this is a very old post, but figured I'd answer it so any others with this issue can have the fix.
With Echo trimmers not revving to speed although they start with no problem, the issue is usually the muffler screen. It becomes plugged with carbon because of improperly mixed 2 stroke fuel.
Remove the screen from the muffler and burn off the carbon with a propane torch, or wire brush it off. Once cleaned engine should rev to speed.

I don't know what fuel my leaf blower needs.
Almost every leaf blower uses gasoline mixed with 2-cycle mixing oil. Unless you have a larger, commercial model with a separate oil tank, you'll need to purchase mixing oil and mix it with your fuel. You can find mixing oil at
PartsBuggy.com.
