Have you connected the fuel lines up correctly to the carb and purge bulb? just remember the bulb pulls fuel from the carb, into the bulb and dumps back to the fuel tank, it is a purge not a primer.

You might have the fuel lines crossed. Or a leak of air into the gas tank. It’s a fuel problem for sure if it starts and then dies.

The last chain saw clutch nut I removed was left-hand thread meaning you turn it clockwise to remove. The clutch is then still tight on the crank and when put under tension from the clutch removal tool needs a tap from a hammer to break the taper loose.

Try removing the air filter from carb. Squirt a few squirts of fuel into carb and try. If it tries to run you have carb problem if not you have ignition problem. After you have done this repost for further instructions.

Disconnect fuel line from the carb and let fuel run into a clear jar. Look for sediment or debris that could cause problems with the carburetor. If there is debris, you will have to clean the carb, by removing fuel bowl and disassembling the float assembly and needle. Back flush the fuel inlet port to ensure it the seat area is clean.

If the motor will turn but the blades will not move then it is very likely that something in the gear box has stripped or broken.
