How do the gas lines on a Poulan Pro BVV200VS look? I have one line with the filter on it and the other line looks like something was suppose to be on it.

The smaller line returns gas to the tank from the carburetor. Top of gas tank is fine for location.

Less than 2 years old. It wont start. I trashed a working sears model that worked for 20 years. WTF.

There is only a few reasons it might not start and they are: Old fuel or a bad primer bulb plugged fuel filter in the gas tankHole in the fuel lines varnish in the carb. no fire bad fuel cap no pressure in tankPlugged up muffler or exhaustbad air filterEthanol gas is really bad for these small engines. Hope this helps.

Poulanproleafblower not primeing

Either your fuel is broken inside the tank or your carb is blocked up inside. Empty the fuel tank and look inside and see if you fuel inlet line has a little plastic or metal filter on the end. *(this is called a "clunk") The clunk keeps the fuel line in gas no matter which way you have the blower tilted. Chances are you will see the clunk just laying in the bottom of the tank with whats left of the fuel line still attached. If the fuel line and clunk are intact then your need to get a diagram of the carb and do a dissembly and cleaning. The carbs have tiny screen filters which jam up with debris and gelled fuel. So a rebuild kit with new filter would be a good thing to get if your carb is cruddy. You can look online at Poulanpro and see which kit you need to buy. They are 10-15 bucks usually. New fuel lines is also a good idea if you are going this deep into the unit. Be safe and good luck!

No gas to prime bubble

Hi carlafanale Change the fuel filter in the fuel tank...also check your fuel lines for cracks...otherwise it is trash in the carburator, see info below. ******************************************************************Sounds like you have dirt/debris in your caburetor jets, fuel passages or a diaphgram that is becoming non-flexible. Check/Clean/Replace your Air Filter, a dirty air filter can make your engine run to rich with fuel. Also be sure to check and clean your spark arrestor in the exaust,if you have one installed on your engine. Note: ALWAYS USE COMPRESSED AIR TO CLEAN YOUR JETS AND PASSAGES, VERY IMPORTANT. Note:Before you disassemble the carburetor:Write down on a piece of paper or take a picture of how the linkage attaches to your carburetor for later reference when you go to reinstall your carburetor.Mark each piece with a awl, or some kind of instrument that will make an alignment scratch before you disassemble the carburetor into separate pieces. That way you will know which way it goes back together when you reassemble it. Sometimes you can get by with priming the carburetor or by using a very small shot of starting fluid and letting it run a few times like that, and it will flush the gunk out of the jets, but most of the time you will need to rebuild the carburetor.Be sure to check your fuel tank for water and dirt/debris, if there is water/debris then you need to clean your tank.Check you fuel line condition after a while they will degrade and need replacment. Check/Clean/Replace your fuel filter if you have one, normally they are located in the fuel tank of chainsaws and weedeaters. When you remove your fuel lines from the carburetor be sure to make a drawing to how the lines are connected to the carburetor or take a pictue for later reference.Normally the big line will be the line the fuel filter is connected to inside of the tank. The smaller of the two lines is the return to the fuel tank from the carburetor after it is pumped thru the carburetor by the primer bulb.Make sure you are using fresh fuel...and oil if your using a two cycle chainsaw or weedeater with the oil to the right mixture...too much oil as it can cause hard starting and excessive smoking. If the chainsaw/trimmer is over a couple of years old, then I recommend that you buy and install a new carburetor repair kit, because the diaphragm will get hard and that will cause it to be hard to crank. The diaphgram may look good and flexible, but it can be deceiving and not act as a fuel pump as it should because it has become too hard and will cause hard starting, start and run and shut off, etc. When you clean your carburetor, I recommend that you use a laquer thinner type cleaner to clean and dissolve the laquer build-up in the float and needle jet passages.Be sure to remove all plastic and rubber parts before using the laquer thinner because it can dissolve the plastic parts and render them unuseable.Be sure to use COMPRESSED AIR to blow out all the fuel and air passages. The higher air pressure is needed to blow some of the trash/debris from the fuel or air passages.Be careful when blowing out the passages, because there are sometimes small rubber type seats in the bottom of some of the passages.Keep in mind that the float (if you have one) for the carburetor must be level when you go to reassemble the carburetor or follow the instructions you get with the carburetor kit, or you could also ask the parts man that you get your kit from. When you clean your carburetor and remove the jet screws, you will first need to lightly seat the jet screws. But before you lightly seat the jet screws count the number of turns it takes to seat the jet screws from their original position.Be sure to mark the turns down on a piece of paper. That way when you put the jets back in, you know to lightly seat them first and then turn them back out to their original position before you started.Note:The little spring inside of the carburetor goes under the float arm. That is where your fuel inlet needle/float valve is located...on the arm at the end.Normally there is a small indention in the carburetor base and a small protrusion on the underneath of the float arm where the spring will be in the right postion for installation. The spring will set in the indention and you will install the float arm with the needle/float valve and float rod into position over top of the spring, you will push down until it is in position and then you can tighten the screw that holds the float arm assembly in position.Once you have your carburetor cleaned/rebuilt that should solve your problem. Please take time to rate me Bud

I have a Poulan Pro leaf blower/vac. The fuel lines cracked inside the gas tank so I pulled them out & bought new ones. Now i can't get them back in to the gas tank. I understand there are

Make sure that you have the right size lines the smaller diameter line goes into the bottom hole of the tank cut a 45 angle at the end of the line as you put the line into the tank twist and push until you get enough line to pull up through the fuel filler hole then cut the line so that the 45 is no longer and slip the fuel filter on then pull back the line until the filter rests at the bottom of the tank. Do the same with the upper line except that line will only go in 3 to 4 inches. I hope this helps you.

Fuel lines poulan bvm200vs gas blower

You need to split the entire unit to get to the fuel tank. Remove carb, remove exhaust, and remove right side of plastic enclosure. Check the cylinder to make sure it is tight, these units are notorious for the cylinder coming loose. Remove the tank and install your new fuel lines, leave them long then trim to fit once reassembled. Check to be sure the isolator mounts and starter rope ferrule are in place when reassembling

My blower won't start most of the time. it seems

A tiny bit of debris may have made it into the fuel needle inlet of the carburetor and is letting just too much fuel enter the main cavity during startup. In other words, the valve that opens and closes and meters the fuel in the carburetor may be dirty and need to be removed and cleaned. There could be other problems at play here as well. It takes time and effort to remove, clean and diagnose carburetor problems related to flooding. Here is a chart which proves this.

Both lines from carb to gas tank rotted off inside

These lines need to be replaced. If you can do it yourself go to shop and buy about 18 inches of line, also new filter. It has been my experience that you will probably end up having to go through the carb.

Use a clean and dry business card or other card stock paper to set the gap. That is almost perfect for the .006" setting.
Good luck!
