8 gal losing air, checked all connections, no leaking, where else to check ?

look for a small leak around the welded seams on the tank as well as all the welds on fittings. When there is air in the tank, shoot some soapy water on it like you were looking for a leak in a tire to find small leaks.

8 Gal. losing air, checked all the connections can't find any leak,

check the drain valve on the bottom of the tank, and the pressure switch connections. the main check valve may be leaking. listen at the inlet filter. a length of hose works as a good stethoscope when tracking down air leaks.

Compressor has only 5 hours

E-mail campbell-hausfeld directly, as it depends on the motor manufacturer whose motor is on this particular compressor,as campbell-hausfeld compressors uses many motor vendors, best bet is,is to look at the motors tag riveted onto the motors body, and the actual motors make/model(who manufactured the motor) & serial, then go to or E-mail www.wwgrainger.com, or if you have a motor distributor near by they can assist you,it will be to exact specifications per MFD/Voltage ratings of both start & run Capacitors

Take forever for air pressure

If there is not a leak, then it is likely the pump is just worn out.
But if you have a long rubber hose, try a shorter and harder one.
If you are waiting for high pressures, like over 80 psi, then a more powerful pump is called for.
