Sounds like PTO clutch is going bad coming apart and binding up.

the best way to get it off is with a 3/4 impact gun after you get crank bolt off unplug clutch slide it off most time it will come off but rare time you might need hammer to hit back to get it off thats what the red neck says

The clutch has it's own brearings in it. You have to replace the hole PTO.Sometimes you can find a Aftermarket PTO clutch. There usually A little cheaper.

there should be a slot on clutch that slide on stud

you will have to use large pulley puller to get off it should slide off no problem

have you taken of wire, could have done bearing in one of the pulleys or spindle housings probably the one that had wire around it

motor needs govenor adjustment and rpm adjustment take it in cost 50.00
