I have Windows Vista Home Premium. I do not have my original Olympus disc. I downloaded the driver from driver guide (http://members.driverguide.com/driver/detail.php?driverid=583812) > installed driver (in this case pencam.exe. After installing the Olympus software I hooked the USB cable up, turned on my w-10 recorder and let Windows begin it's search.

I manually pointed it to the pencam folder where it proceeded to load the drivers successfully. I am now able to transfer my files successfully. Hope this helps in some way.

Hello Sound like you have a Mono jack output you can try some headset models that can be used Mono or Stereo.

The recorder W10 is NOT compatible with Windwos 7, Windows Vista or Windows XP 64 bits

If you have the CD with software "Olympus Voice Album " try install and reconigze tge recorder.

Hi Alana,There is in all liklihood nothing wrong with your digital voice recorder. It was never designed to work with Windows 7 (any version). Try loading the voice files onto a PC with any one of the following operating systems:Windows VISTA; Windows XP (Professional or Home); Windows Me; Windows 2000 (Professional); Windows 98 (Second Edition). It should function quite normally and download, so that you re-use the memory on your recorder.

Sorry...the w 10 is not compatable with Vista or XP 64Bit systems.
This is an older model which was compatable with 98, 2000, Me, and XP 32 Bit systems.
