Olympus DS-330 Digital Voice Recorder - Answered Questions & Fixed issues

Swapped out the USB cable with a different one and the display showed, "REMOTE". Hope this helps someone out. I've been troubleshooting this on my end for the last two days...

Download your driver from here driverupdate us . Download the software (for free), scan for the required driver and update, It will take 2 mins. Hope this was helpful. cheers

If you are using dss player lite, it does not support downloading. It is only a player. If you have Player for Mac version 1, you need to update to version 6. It can be found here.

You will need to format the memory. In the menu, scroll to format. All recordings will be erased.Tom

There is no factory reset but you can reformat the memory. Hold the menu button, scroll to format, press record and follow display instructions.

Try going into the BIOS (or CMOS) of your computer and look for
Legacy USB Enabled/Disabled
If it is set to Enabled, set it to Disabled
If it is set to Disabled, set it to Enabled

This sometimes fixes these kind of problems.

It should work...if it does not automatically then you can always download the driver for the world wide web.

Copy & paste the link they gave you (everything within the 'www' to the '.zip') and paste it in your address bar at the very top of your browser (not your search engine field). This is a direct link and will prompt you to open or save the file. Choose 'Save' and then save it to your desktop. You'll have to extract the .zip file once you've downloaded it.

And I assume they gave you another link for the Vista/XP2000 update? Do the same thing as I mentioned above.
