My a/v receiver gets really hot after a couple
You are going to make the system overheat and possibly fail with excessive heat. If it's possible, at least run with the doors to your cabinet open and/or, maybe you could cut a hole in the back of the cabinet for ventilation either just by making a hole(s) and/or installing a fan. The circuit boards will afil over time, with age but, you will greatly age your unit with excessive heat.

All of them will work just fine audio-wise with the Onkyo and on some level just about any TV made in the last 20 years if it has s-video, composite video, component video or HDMI video inputs (google them).
Choose one and follow the manuals for connection.

Keep in mind that no video must necessarily pass from the the BluRay to the receiver but it MUST find its way to the TV. It's best to have any audio or video signal go directly to the best electronics that handles it. That's one reason they can be routed separately.
