Onkyo TX SR 313 receiver display is not working. Machine sounds like it turns on, but the display is totally void of life. How do I fix the display?

You need to check several voltages(1)-VP(2)FLAC1 and FLAC2(3)drive signals to FL needs a digital storage oscilloscope to observe waveform. Or replace chip directly. This is a full picture.

I accidentally touched a speaker wire to the metal spikes on the bottom of my speaker. My Onkyo TX-NR757 now reads NG : L R BLBR. I had it biamped so I assume it is both amps. I have tried to reset it several times to no avail. Is my receiver done ?

"I accidentally touched a speaker wire to the metal spikes on the bottom of my speaker. " This action makes +B voltage (positive voltage) short to ground. You may assume 2 power transistors mounted on a large heat sink are defective. Now try to remenber which speaker terminals was accidentially shorted. Then check this terminal or you should check all power transistors mounted on the heat sink, by measuring the collector and emitter resistance. Normal value is Mega ohms and all white 3 pins resistor with 0.22ohm should also be checked if they are open( infinity resistance).I have tried to reset it several times to no avail. Of course, due to defective power transistors. Is my receiver done? Yes. I wrote detailed troubleshooting steps used in onkyo service dept. a year ago, just find it out in my answers.210cda21-872d-438d-949c-2196ccf76712.jpgFor your case, DET. Hi, Onkyo TX SR 705 have a super cap for memory presets ou eeprom?? When the power is down and it loose the presets, whats the problem?? Tks

“Hi, Onkyo TX SR 705 have a super cap for memory presets ou eeprom?? ”Yes, it may have a 5.5V cap with 0.1F for memory to use .When the power is down and it loose the presets, whats the problem?? Tks Don't worry, it will be charged up when the amp is On. The longer the time it is on, the longer the time it charged. For your case, replace the cap mentioned above can fix the problem. I will post the photo later. After checking the onkyo TX-SR705 service manual, however, I did not find any capacitor of 5.5V 0.1F on the schematics. The EEPROM is powered by a polar capacitor. See photo. Step of repairing (1)Download the onkyo TX-SR 705 service manual.(2)Find out the EEPROM located at Main Microprocessor Unit.(3)Replace the capacitors of epprom(4)If the problem doesn't solve, copy all data form the old EEPROM by a SPI EPPOM reader.(5)Buy a new SAME MODEL EEPROM and copy the old data to the new one. (6)remove the old defective one from the circuit board(7)put the new one with data copied to the circuit board.7abf1fe5-29df-4e3d-98b4-8e2ba153ec59.jpg

Trying to set up my Insignia TV model # ns-40e560a11 to my Onkyo AV Receiver model # TX-SR307 I could use a wiring diagram or some kind of help to get my Home theatre system setup thank you.

Hello Scott, to be able to guide you, in wiring so that you can have everything in your home theater system, you should comment that equpos you have I can suggest a generic connection to have the sound of each source in Tu Onkyo You have to connect the equipment that has HDMI output, in the corresponding entries in your Onkyo, accounts with only three inputs, if you have more than three equipment with HDMI, you can connect it to an HDMI input on the TV If you have other equipment that does not have an HDMI output, you should connect it to the remaining inputs of the Onkyo, according to its type Then, you connect an HDMI-HDMI cable from the HDMI output of the Onkyo, to the HDMI 1 input, of the TuTV Insignia And you also have to have a Fiber Optic cable, connected from the digital audio output of the TV (it is located on the side panel of connections) to the Fiber Optic input (Digital In) n ° 1 of the Onkyo, this connection allows you to listen to the sound on the Onkyo of everything you are looking for on the Internet, eg Netflix, YouTube, etc. In this way you would already have everything connected in the Onkio and you could enjoy the sound of the Home Cinema System I hope you manage to interconnect everything and you can enjoy a good sound and an excellent image I send you the links of the user manuals of TV Insignia and Onkyo, in case you need more information Greetings Franco Dosil Hola Scott, para poder guiarte, en cableado para que puedas tener todo en tu sistema de cine en casa, deberias comentar que equipos tienes te puedo sugerir una conexi?n gen?rica para tener el sonido de cada fuente en Tu Onkyo Tienes que conectar los equipos que tengan salida HDMI, en las entradas correspondientes en tu Onkyo, cuentas solamente con tres entradas, si tienes mas de tres equipos con HDMI, puedes conectarlo a una entrada de HDMI en el televisor Si tienes otros equipos que no tengan salida HDMI, los deber?s conectar en las entradas restantes del Onkyo, de a cuerdo a su tipo Luego, conectas un cable HDMI-HDMI desde la salida HDMI del Onkyo, hasta la entrada HDMI 1, del tu TV Insignia Y tambi?n tienes que tener un cable de Fibra ?ptica, conectado desde la salida de audio digital del televisor (se encuentra en el panel lateral de conexiones) hasta la entrada de Fibra ?ptica (Digital In) n°1 del Onkyo, esta conexi?n te permite escuchar el sonido en el Onkyo de todo lo que buscas en Internet, ejemplo Netflix, YouTube, etc De esta manera ya tendr?as conectado todo en el Onkyo y podr?s disfrutar del sonido del Sistema de Cine en Casa espero que logres interconectar todo y puedas disfrutar de un buen sonido y una excelente imagen Te env?o los link de los manuales de usuario del TV Insignia y del Onkyo, por si necesitas mas informacion Saludos Franco Dosil https://www.eu.onkyo.com/downloads/1/1/9/7/8/21637364_3342ba722d.pdf https://data2.manualslib.com/pdf4/98/9771/977072-insignia/ns40e560a11.pdf?5272bbc74f2dc78e6eb01f3f6deb2aec&take=binary
