Power wheel wont reverse

Hello,

I would call customer support and find out why the powerwheel does not go into reverse. You advised that it was the f150. I can give you the link as to where I tried to see if there might of been a safety feature of not letting the unit go into reverse. Here it goes http://www.fisher-price.com/us/powerwheels/product.aspx?pid=38040 I am not sure if it is the same one. You can also call this number Contact Consumer Relations toll-free at 888-892-6123.

We are available Monday through Friday 9 AM to 6 PM Eastern Time, 6 AM to 3 PM Pacific Time.
They might be able to tell you about your exact model.

My granddaughter's barbie cruisin' tunes jeep only has fast gear, no slow or reverse.

check and see if both wheels are spinning, if not you have a bad motor which would cause the other gears to not work

Barbie power wheel just spins doesn't move

some people stud the tires with screws, or rubber traction bands can be purchased, or just put rubber bands on the tires for indoor use

We have a Barbie jeep

Most auto parts store carry a load meter that will check the health of the battery. Go through the jeep first however and check that all connections are good and no wires are touching each other which would cause a dead short and drain batteries. That includes the speed pedal.

My daughters power wheels dont start charge battery nothing but the radio wlorks

If you're the first owner and registered it when you got it, the manufacturer website (or customer service number from website or manual) should have some answers for you. Lots of times you can look your product up on the manufacturor's website. If not, call them and ask. What's the worst thing they'll say? "No."?

After a year in storage, jeep won't work.

the radio runs off of a seperate battery source, so that wouldn't have any effect on this, i would first of all check the battery and charger with a multimeter and make sure that they are showing the correct voltage, if its a 12v battery make sure that they are showing at least 12 volts, if its a 6v battery make sure that its showing at least 6v

I charge the barbie 12

I know you are technically strong to do the bypassing part. But assumption is to do with fuse.

Your Power Wheels® 12 volt battery is equipped with a built-in thermal fuse. The thermal fuse is
a self-resetting safety device which automatically "trips" and shuts down operation of the vehicle if the vehicle is overloaded or the driving conditions too severe. Once a fuse has "tripped", remove your foot from the pedal and wait approximately 25 seconds before operating the vehicle again. To avoid repeated automatic shut-downs, avoid severe driving conditions.

better call up Fisher price, and lay back with free mind.

I have a powerwheels barbie

I would suggest checking all of the connections in the wiring. Often the spade type connections can come unseated during use.
Check the following areas:
  1. Connection to the battery itself
  2. Connection to the foot switch (you may need to unscrew it from the floorboard to check)
  3. Connection to the electric motor(s) attached to the rear wheels
If the battery is older, it may have failed. If you have a multimeter, or even a simple test light, you can check to see if the battery has voltage. You're looking for around 5-6 volts. Anything below just off the charger could indicate failure.
Hope that's helpful!

The jeep only goes in reverse. I tried reversing

hi, its the forward/reverse switch. here is a link to find the one you need, simply remove the shifter and replace the switch. make sure to get the one for your model jeep, the two seater 12v jeeps all use the same type, unless its really old.
good luck!
