TI84 dead
TI calculators have an annoying habit of dimming the screen, especially when the batteries are changed, so that it appears as if the calculator isn't turning on. Turn the calculator on (or at least press the ON key). Press and release the 2ND key. Press and hold the Up-arrow key for a few seconds and see whether the screen becomes legible. Does it?
If you go too far, press and release the 2ND key, then press and hold the down-arrow key.

Large factorials ti84
The TI-84 is limited to numbers with at most twelve significant digits. If you must know the EXACT value of 16!, try this. Calculate 14!. Note the two zeroes at the end. Strip them off by dividing by 100 and remember the two zeroes. Multiply by 15. Strip off the last zero by dividing by 10 and remember that we've now stripped off three zeroes. Multiply by 16. Add the three zeroes at the end to get a fourteen-digit number. In this particular case the result is exactly what you get by using the FACT function. That's also true for 17!, but it breaks down past that because 18! has more than twelve significant digits. The whole point of the calculator is to allow you to do calculations with a reasonable degree of accuracy, as opposed to exactly. You'll notice that it can't do a simple operation like dividing 1 by 3 and produce an EXACT answer---only a twelve-digit approximation.

How to get back apps
Unfortunately there isn't a solution to get them back, other than re-downloading them from where you got them originally. Re-download them, and then load them onto your calculator using a USB-A to USB-B connector. This can be done through the included software program that came with your product.
I hope this helps!

How do I choose the dimensions for the graphing
There should be a WINDOW button or key when looking at the graph. Hit that button and the screen should show the x min, x max, x scale, etc. From here you can change the x-min and x-max to whatever you would like. Same is true for the y values. Default is -10 for x and y min and 10 for x and y max with both having a scale of 1.
