In most machines you do as follows.
Insert the second spool pin and place a spool of thread on each. Thread in usual sequence but make sure to pass one thread to the left and one to the right of the tension disc and do not allow the threads to twist together then thread needles manually.

Hi, the wick will not interfere with your tension, it is there to oil the hook shaft.

pictures on the bobbin case settings. Take special note of the retaining bracket, plate spring position and the Reverse rotation stopper. It sometimes happens that the reverse rotation stopper bends upwards, allowing the bobbin case to move underneath it. Press it slightly down to prevent this.
