Your owner's manual should have instructions. Download the manual here and then enlarge the picture on your computer screen to see it better. I believe it shows to put a drop of oil and spread it around the outside edge of the hook (see pg.41 for picture of the hook). Then there are five spots to put a drop of oil on the take-up lever and needle bar (pg.39). Basically, they are spots where the metal parts rub against other metal parts. Gently rotate your handwheel toward you and watch where things move and apply a drop of oil. The last spot is where the needlebar rubs when you raise the presser foot. 1. Make sure that you are using the right bobbin case. (LX3125) 2. Adjust the tension of the bobbin case. (I've sent a guide for this) Your's is considered the older style. 3. Make sure the bobbin that is used is the right one. If it is too long or too wide it will cause problems. 4. When you insert the bobbin case make sure the lock handle goes down flat with the bobbin case. Also, feel the bobbin case for rough snags. 5. Replace the needle. Insert it the new one in the right direction. 6. Thread the machine (while pressure foot up) according to the directions. While threading give small tugs to check for snags. 7. Place the tension on four. It is ok to feel by hand if this is excess tension. 8. While turning the hand wheel towards you the bobbin thread should rise above the throat plate. 9. This should be ok now. Try it on some old rags. Don't forget to set that bobbin case.

Look on the back of the machine near the feed dogs for a lever to lower them. If there is none then you need a feed dog cover (or darning plate) that goes over the needle plate. good luck!

Clean the bobbin case and all the parts under the plate. You may have a bent needle, so replace the needle. The bobbin case has a tiny point on it that catches the thread, that may be broken and missing the thread as it spins.

Have it serviced.

keep a thread tail of 3-5 inches & when you sew make sure the thread is pulled behind the needle each time you sew, even if you have to hold the thread tail with your fingers

try removing needle thread completely and re threading the machine with pressure foot down. as sounds like top tension not working or simply too loose
