Emerson Fans MW8995B Microwave Oven Questions & Answers
How do I set Clock?
Disconnect the microwave from the power source while the power is still
out. If the microwave is a built-in, turn off the circuit breaker.
Otherwise, unplug the microwave from the wall outlet. This prevents a
power surge from damaging the magnetron tube when the power is restored.Turn on the circuit breaker or plug the microwave into the outlet only
when you are sure that the power is permanently restored. If there are
still storms in the area, the power may be disrupted again.
Reset the clock on the microwave. Microwaves vary slightly on how to set
the clock, but usually there is a clock button you press. Use the
number pad to input the correct time and press the clock button again to
set it.
Test the microwave by heating some water to ensure that it is still in good operating condition.
Please help me locate and test magnetron on my micro
NOTE: Microwaves have a capacitor in them which can give you a massive shock!!! Be careful what you touch. You need to remove the outer metal cabinet, you will then see a large square box with fins on it, this is the magnetron.About the only thing you can check is the inline fuse inside the microwave, it will be in one of the wires that runs to the capacitor and you can check this with a multimeter . If the fuse is ok then the fault will be with either the capacitor or the magnetron, neither of which can easily be tested without specialist equipment.
Hello my Teka MCX 45.1 BIT microwaves start button not appearing?
Microwaves generally last about 2000 hours before losing power. Here are some basics to try: Make sure the power plug is securely plugged into the wall outlet. Listen for an audible click when you close the door. Unplug it, wait 30 seconds, plug it back in (this may reset it). If the start button is then not appearing, there may be a problem with the touchhpad or control panel. Teka's customer service:

What cause the high voltage fuse to damage
Based on the fact it is not said where it is used or how it blows i.e. does it blow as soon as power is applied or does it blow after a few seconds? In the first case you probably looking for direct short while in the second case a faulty item that is becoming defective when energized or hot.
