You didn't say how old is the deep fryer. There are 3 ways to do this job. A. take out the old tank and weld it ( most likely this is a very unreliable because when you start welding a spot, you may find another one somewhere else, and it never ends, and the welding shop will not give you any warranty for their welding too. ) and it is not cheap on labour alone. B. Replace the old tank from Imperial , They give you 90 days warranty on replacement parts. Please check out the labour first. C. This is the best way replace the whole unit with a new one they give you 1 year part & labour warranty. This is cheap compare with trying to repair the old one. Usually needs the thermocouple replacing. As it is a gas fryer, it has to replace by a gas certified technician. Please don't type in all CAPS, it is considered SHOUTING and more difficult to read.

When the pilot goes out and won't stay lit is is usually because the Thermocouple safety device has failed. The burners should never be on when the thermostat is off. That is incredibly dangerous. You need a gas registered service technician.

No, there is no drip pan. If the oil is leaking from the drain spout, you can screw a plug in it. If it is leaking from the tank around the burner tubes.... then you need a new fryer.
