Electrolux EI26SS55GSO power failure alarm; how to disable

Hi Randy - The power failure alarm can't be complete disable, but you can try resetting it by pressing the ALARM OFF icon. Other modes may be turned off until the alarm is acknowledged. The power fail alert is turned off and the refrigerator should resume normal operation. However, if the alarm continues to go off after you have unplugged or flipped the household circuit breaker for 30 seconds contact a professional to have the main control board diagnosed.

Plastic smell back of freezer

Good Afternoon friend, thanks for your post!

From the information you have provided you are receiving a plastic smell inside the back of your Electrolux refrigerator. I can provide some basic troubleshooting steps to help clear out any unwanted odors. You can clean the walls with warm soapy water or warm water with baking soda mixed in. You may also use lemon juice to wipe the interior walls the citric odor can help combat smell. Another thing to use is a pan of kitty litter or a pan of charcoal (not the self-starting kind). Electrolux diagnostics for refrigerator with freezer on bottom

Hey friend, thank you for your post! Based off the information you have provided your Electrolux refrigerator is running but not cooling. The past 3 nights I've had power failure on my EI23BC55IS1 3 door refrig, disable the alarm and it makes all ok but happens over and over. Thismorning it was not working other than code CE in the door

Hi Rayna! From what you have described it sounds as if your refrigerator is experiencing an internal communication error (CE). For this particular error code, a professional technician would be required to check the wiring connections between the main control board (brains of your appliance) and the user interface board (control touch pad on the front of your appliance). Good Morning Denise, thank you for allowing me to assist you! If your ice maker has stopped producing ice completely, please check these tips, in this order: It may be turned off. Look for the wire along the right side of the ice maker that looks a bit like a coat hanger. If the wire is in the raised position, the ice maker is turned off. If so, try one of these: If your ice maker has a small red plastic lever, lower it to lower the wire. If there's no plastic lever, simply lower the wire. In either case, the ice maker should begin producing ice again. Also make sure that the temperature is 8 degrees Fahrenheit or lower. If the freezer is too warm, the ice maker won't cycle properly. The ice maker fill tube may be blocked with ice. If so, melt the blockage using a hair dryer-but be careful to not melt any plastic parts! Also the water shut-off valve or water-inlet valve, or both, may be faulty and if necessary either parts may need replacing. The ice maker head assembly may have broken parts. Look to see if the gears are broken. Check to see if the small plastic arms that rest against the ice rake are broken. If the ice maker head assembly is modular and you've found broken parts, you can just replace it after proper diagnoses. Best regards!

I put in a new ice maker ( the old one broke) and

Make sure the door switch operates the light in the freezer because power is supplied to the im through this switch. Insure the freezer is 15 degrees or lower, these temps need to be reached before the im will cycle. Access the blue tube on the blue valve, disconnect it and blow through it. If you cant blow through it look at the tube that comes from the ceiling to the ice maker and check for ice blocking the tube. If water is coming through the dispenser then the water line that feeds the valve is not frozen and you either have a bad valve or a restricted fill tube.

My electrolux says power failure, but is working

Hello Kristy, thank you for your post! Let's try reprogramming the refrigerator. This can be done by either flipping the household circuit breaker to the off position or unplugging the unit. It is important to wait roughly ten minutes and then turn the refrigerator on. The error code PF should clear and the unit should resume normal operations. Hello Debbie Lee - Typically error code SY CE indicates that the refrigerator has detected a communication error at power up. Contact a professional to move forward accurately to check the wiring between main control board and user interface. Depending on the diagnoses, either or will need placing.
