Cut 3 pieces of wood a bit thicker than the new pads.
Jam then in the brake to relieve the pressure on the pads.
Undo 1 or 2 screws holding pad and pull out.
Reassemble reverse order
Remove FILL hose and try scraping out inside with a screwdriver. If you get the black stuff- fit new hoses.
Or , remove drum and look for build up muck
. If you have this you need to change your washing habit.
Check the belt and the idler pully that tensions it.
With the belt off , the pully should spin freely.
The spin brake will make the bowl hard to turn one way. This is normal.
