These blinks [flashes] are fault indication (Error Codes). From the number of blinks occur at one time switch ON, you can get an idea about the faulty circuit section inside it. This will make repair easy. These are called blinking codes. Make sure about the exact number of blinking of the standby/power LED, by switching On & OFF the set, for at least two times. Mount screw size
To get more details about the screws size and others, you have to download the repair manual to this set by internet, and have to look into the disassemble section. If you wish to get some details about these, check the site linked below. It has disassembley procedure to many band TVs, including Panasonic. Check for your model, by its left side bar.

Im looking to mount my TV to my wall and wanted to
This will depend on what type of wall you are fixing it to.
It's a pretty big TV so for a solid timber brick or cement block wall I would suggest M5 or M6 x 50mm
If it's a hollow stud-work wall you will need to use specialist hollow wall fixings such as toggle bolts. again M5 or M6 thickness would be appropriate but you would be well advised to try to screw into the actual stud-work rather than just rely on plasterboard to support such a weight. You can buy an electronic stud detecting tool from DIY stores relatively cheaply.

I cannot get the closed captions to display
When you say 'closed captions' I assume these can be seen but cannot be selected. Kindly look through the operation manual and check whether such features are there in the TV.
