Because you have the extended warranty, I'd say take advantage of it and call a technician out to assess the problem on-site - they can then advise you on the best possible course of action to take from there if required. A third opinion by a service tech is valuable in matters such as this. (it could be any one of a number of things which cause this kind of issue in flat panel sets; the service verdict at the end of the assessment determines the most logical outcome based on how serious the problem is) Either way, you get to make the final decision; if you do choose to consult a tech, make doubly sure they are an authorized Samsung service agent and that they are willing to undertake the job under extended warranty. I would not advise trying to fix this one yourself, especially if an extended warranty is current and valid on it.

I have a Samsung TV. Model UN55HU7200. When try to turn it on the red indicator light at the left bottom flashes and i can hear a Click -Click then flashes then click-click.

Sounds like a power board issue. Unfortunately this is a common problem in flat screen TVs. Typicality this happens after the tv is three years old or older. Some will last several years. The repair is almost cost prohibitive. The replacement board if you sent it out to a repair shop would cost approximately $190.00 and altleast two hours labor $180.00 for the repair. Most repair shops also charge for a diagnostic fee. That fee most likely would be around $50.00.

Samsung 5 blink code

Those blinks [flashes] are fault indication (Error Codes). From the number of blinks occur at one time switch ON, you can get an idea about the faulty circuit section inside it. This will make repair easy. These are called blinking codes. Make sure about the exact number of blinking of the standby/power LED, by switching On & OFF the set, for at least two times. Count it carefully. If you wish to get some details, check the site linked here. It has details about blinking codes, and fault locating procedure, to many popular brand TVs and other devices. http://homenol.blogspot.com/ http://electronicshelponline.blogspot.com/ If blinks continue without any pause, the main board is faulty.

Samsung UN40JU6500F had picture on intial power up, changed source and lost picture. Can't get it back, only sound. See faint images. Bottom back shows blue lights on. Inverter? Power board?

Back - light problem. Check and replace damaged component/s at its back-light inverter board, or replace this board as card basis. If you wish to get some details; check the site linked here. Surf the site with patience. Pull up older posts. It will be best to replace the inverter board as card basis. http://electronicshelponline.blogspot.com/ To some model sets; especially LED back-lighted types; the back-light inverter circuit will be part of the main power supply board [SMPS]. In such cases, the power supply board might need replacement. To some models sets, the back-light inverter and SMPS section circuit will be integrated at its main board itself. If so; the main board should be replaced. To some models of sets, all these section circuit will be integrated at its main board. If this is the case, you have to replace the main board.

Fault at its main digital board. Short circuited component/s at it. Contact any service technician; or the authorized service center. If you wish to get some details; check the site linked here. Surf the site with patience. Pull up older posts. http://electronicshelponline.blogspot.com/ In most cases, the main board might have to be replaced. If so, a software [firmware] update too might be necessary. Before going further; try a hard reset first. If it does not help you, replace the main digital board. There are two methods to reset TVs. The first is simple to do; a Hard Reset. The other is somewhat skilled; is a Factory Reset (System Reset). To make it a hard reset, just unplug the TV from AC mains wall socket, and re-plug it back after 15 minutes or so. If you do this by overnight is better. This procedure will make it a hard reset. If you want to make it a system reset [Factory Reset]; you have to enter its service mode option, and select the factory reset option. If you wish to get some details; visit the site linked here.
