When liquid drips onto the x buffer boards (located along the bottom edge of the display panel ) the liquid Will damage the ribbon cables that are connected to the display panel. Try opening your menu options and search for "updates" Usually when you set your TV for the first time it usually guides you to do this firmware update. Try acting like your are setting up your TV for the first time and maybe it will have a option for this.

I'm guessing. you are watching the freeview.... if it is then there is a setting in the free view setting to sync sound and picture. find that it should be set a ( 0 ). sometimes just doing a system rest will sort it out. On the freeview setting.
