i think you have a busted speaker, try a replacemant

did it work louder before?, volume up all controls. anyway you can't expect a lot from this normal use speaker, this only for sounds not for entertaining.

Your speakers don't require any special drivers. All they do is take the analog sound signal from the computer, amplify it and play it for you. you will need to locate the volume button at the bottom right hand off desktop and change the volume settings, i cant say exactly witch setting to change because i don't know what software you are using. But something in those settings is causing this.
