DVD BURNER WILL
Hello,
Make sure you have the needed software installed on your system to decode movies and burn them. Most movies now are encoded with a security feature to prevent piracy. If you do not have the software, thre are many online for purchase that work great on just about any movie.
Good Luck.

My Pioneer DVD/CD writer has
control panel admistrive tools, computer management, device manager scroll down cd dvd rom drives you might see a yellow question mark ? right click you can you can update driver, roll back driver,or select properties general troubleshoot, select driver click to reinstall drivers click update driver or uninstall then reinstall if this does not fix the problem it might be a registry problem if you cant see your disk drive in windows explorer
Close all open programs
Click on Start, Run, and type regedit and press Enter
Click on the plus signs (+) next to the following folders
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE
SYSTEM
CurrentControlSet
Control
Class
{4D36E965-E325-11CE-BFC1-08002BE10318}
This folder is the DVD/CD-ROM Drive Class Description in the registry. Look for any of the following names in the right hand column.
Upper Filters
Lower Filters
Upper Filters.bak
Lower Filters.bak
If any of the above keys shown in step 4 are listed, right-click on them and choose DeleteAfter deleting the keys, close the registry editorReboot your computerOpen My Computer and check to see if your CD or DVD drives have returned. You may also want to open Device Manager and verify that the yellow exclamation and error code on the CD or DVD drive is gone.
hope this helps

I have a Pioneer DVR-111
first make sure that your dvd drive has power. to test just press the eject button. go to device manager, find dvd/cd-rom drives there and expand it. If the pioneer dvr is present and has an exclamation point then just reinstall the driver for that drive. if not there then check in the bios if its there, just got to system information in your bios. If not there then open your tower and unplug and replug the cable connecting your drive to te motherboard. then check again.

I am trying to hook
Hello Genealogy675,
Try to connect HDMI out in Pioneer DVR-LX70 and input in sony also you have to connect AV or SPDIF for analog or digital sound.
This unit does not convert between PAL and NTSC. To record in PAL this unit must receive a PAL signal. To record in NTSC this unit must receive an NTSC signal. If you need to convert signals between PAL and NTSC we suggest you also buy a video converter.
Please give me some more information about what you are trying to do with this so i can help you more further with this.
i can provide the best solution with picture how to connect it .
Please let me know if you have any further questions or concerns.
Thanks.

Cd/DVD drive kdrops driver
Hi:
Since this is a new drive, I would check the pioneer website for updated drivers for the Drive. If this drive came with the laptop then it should be compatible with your software, also check the Toshiba website for update drivers for the drive using windows 7. Check what version of windows 7 you have, wether its 32bit version or 64bit version. and download the cooresponding drivers for your system.

What connections do i make
depends on what connections the vcr has, I think you should connect it to the antenna connector, then find the right channel or adjust it from the vcr(see note 1) so you get picture from the vcr into the tv card, you can then record and watch anything from the vcr to the computer.
Note1: Some vcr's will have a adjustment screw on the back where you can adjust the frequency / channel / signal.
