Did the CD jam/float around inside the laptop?

2 points to understand. 1) if you pop open your laptop, the warranty is void. That said, 2)remember that in a laptop, it is VERY tight. So, once the screws are off, there will not be alot of room to work. All of the wires and connections are very short so pulling the case totally off is not an option. Be patient and take your time and you should have no problem finding and pushing the usb port back to it's correct position. Pay close attention as there are all kinds of little parts you do not want to pop out and have to figure out where they go back too.

Not sure what you intend to do by saying you want to format the laptop. If you mean that you want to restore the laptop to 'out of box' condition, or as new, then you must look for one of two things:

- If, while in Windows, you click Start, then All Programs, and locate a listing for Toshiba, then look inside that category for an application to rebuild, or otherwise restore the laptop to the as new condition.
... or ...
- When you first power on the laptop, usually you see on the first screen an option for SETUP, like Hit F2 for Setup, or Hit F10 for BIOS, etc. There may be one specifically for getting into the Toshiba Rebuild routine.

Most recent laptops have a hidden partition, which contains all the files that are used to produce a brand new condition for your laptop.

Sometimes there are two options, one to wipe everything and rebuild, and one to actually protect your documents, but not any added later applications, while it rebuilds it.

Those are the things to look for. Be careful and be certain what it is you wish to do to it, before you do it. Most of those options, when you find them, are not reversible.

If there is something that you did recently that you want to undo, you might be able to accomplish that if your laptop is set to retain System Restore information every few days, or before major upgrades, and you can restore to the day before whatever it is you might have done that is making it run strangely now.

This issue requires intricate soldering, you need to send it to Toshiba for motherboard replacement. Most likely, the USB ports were pushed in too hard and the port broke off of its location. Even if you were able to access them, it is unlikely you could fix. However, this model is still fairly new, so send it to them and claim it came that way...

If the USB ports are loose, then the computer is going to have to be disassembled for repair.You should have Toshiba, or a Toshiba authorized service center fix it. If I remember correctly,all you have to do with Toshiba laptops is just drop them off at UPS for repair.UPS sends them to Toshiba for free, and Toshiba returns the repaired laptop to you.

I would say that was too long and there is a problem somewhere. I would run CHKDSK/F straight away to clear any disk errors and try again.

You should remove the batteries to see if it will power up and start using the AC adapter, it does not need the batteries to run when it is on an AC adapter. It may have bad connection at the DC input jack assembly.

After change the mouse if you will face in same look because virus affected.
You will just download boo-table f-secure disk, http://www.askvg.com/download-free-bootable-rescue-cds-from-kaspersky-bitdefender-avira-f-secure-and-others/ and write cd ISO file and scan at boot time .

We ran a typical Satellite A200 battery of tests, including games, applications, and a couple other areas. Time constraints limited the amount of testing we could get done before the NDA lift (and it's already a few hours late), but we will be providing a follow-up article with further testing and information. If you want to play DVDs from any region you maybe able to upgrade the firmware to make it region free BUT if you make a mistake or installed the wrong firmware the player will be a piece of junk.
The best solution to make the player region free is to install a piece of software (Passkey for DVD) that allows you to play DVDs from any region and Passkey for Blu-ray that allows you to play Blu-rays from any region.
There are several available on the Internet but my favourite is DVD-Region Free

Do you have a wifi card in the computer? It is a hardware part that you need so that the computer can connect to the wifi. If you have that but can't find it in the operating system. I suggest that you either install or update the driver for it.
You can use RadarSync to scan your computer for the available updates of your wifi driver. Make sure that you connect to the internet first using your ethernet so that it will detect the available driver updates somewhere in the databases of the manufacturer.

enter your laptop model ( Satellite L505) and download sound drivers and other necessary drivers needed for your laptop to operate well.
