Hi there,what orientation are we talking about? CDROM and DVD Drives work sideways and horizontally, notice the plastic holders when you open your drive door, the cd/dvd won't drop to the floor...No action is required on your part, everything will work as normal?Any question? let me know.

Fix speaker on dell t3500

Easier to buy a set of external speakers. Just make sure you have a sound card that has a port to plug the speaker into. If not it's still easier to buy a PCI Sound Card and a set of speakers.

If the drive won't open you can use an unfolded paperclip and insert it in the small hole (paperclip size). Push in and it will pop out.

What do i need to

Determine what kind of video line-in connection the TV has. These connections are typically on the back or side of the TV. You also will need to determine what kind of video line-out connection the computer has.

Types of video connections include S-Video, VGA, DVI and HDMI. The Resources section of this article offers links to sites that will help you identify the connection type of your TV and computer.

Purchase a video connection cable that is for the type of connection that the computer and TV share. For example, if the TV and computer both have S-Video ports, you should purchase an S-Video cable. S-Video connections are the most common and least expensive option.

Connect the end of the S-Video cable that matches the connection on the computer to the computer video line-out port. Connect the other end to the video line-in port of the same kind on the TV.

Convert video from VGA video to S-Video or even component video. Do this if the two connection ports on the computer and TV are not compatible. You will need to purchase a scan converter box, a VGA video cable, and either an S-Video or component video cable. Connect the cable that will connect to the computer jack to the computer and the converter box, and connect the S-Video or component video cable to the TV and the converter box.

Turn on the TV and use the remote control to select "Input." Some TVs will have multiple selections. Turn on the computer and play a movie or display an image on the screen. As you are scrolling through the "Input" options on the television, you will see a matching image of what you opened on your computer on the TV screen when the correct input is selected.

Adjust the screen resolution on the computer if the image on the TV is distorted, too small or too large. Do this by going into Control Panel and Display Settings on the computer. Select a different screen resolution until the image on the TV fits the TV screen

Hellow Guys, I have Dell Precision T7400, it was working fine, the problem is that in boot manu i cant see Hdd or Cd-Rom,but in bios i see them... any ideas on how to solve this please....!

this 2007 year PC OLD, has many limits (CORE 2 is one) is this windows 10? 64bit> I bet not its CORE 2 old) I came with VISTA if MS loaded OS, or XP or RedHat Linux? what boot menu are you talking about.? F12? wild guess me, VISTA OS: (now zero support) in windows, we have disk manager, do all devices show up now? this is first, if not here, explorer can not work. lets do the correct order: 1: bios sees my media. (good) 2: then in device manager, it sees them, if not drivers bad. 3: then Diskmanager sees the devices, and must have drive letter or next. if letters missing right click device and add one. 4: explorer (This PC) fails to find it. if above fails sure. easy as 1,2,3,4 order, matters. can't see CD does that mean a disk or the whole drive? cant See HDD, is this HDD0 ,1,2, 3 or? how many HDD do you have, and are there SSD drives there and last what SATA ports are you using, some are limited. here is your DELL.com support page, (12 years later still here) https://www.dell.com/support/home/us/en/04/product-support/product/precision-t7400/drivers what HDD fails, does the PC boot at all? my wild guess NO. what OS what OS do you want to run, that be first thing to ask on any 2007 old PC, as Windows 10 will fail here. I Bet. for sure 64bit.

Computer won't move from 'starting windows' screen

At power-on, use F12 (or F8) and select 'Repair' ... DO NOT let it 'reformat' your drive or you will loose everything .. If that fails, you may have to choose 'Factory Restore', but this will re-install Windows and you will LOOSE EVERYTHING !! SO == if you have another PC, I suggest move your disk drive to that other PC and copy off all your photos/music/videoa etc you don't want to loose before doinbg a Factory Restore ..

What is PCProtect?

PCProtect is malware. What is PCProtect exe . I would boot up in Safe Mode again, or Normal if you have to, and bring up Task Manager again (Ctrl-Alt-Del) and check to see if explorer.exe is running. If not, Click on File in the Task Manager toolbar, select New Task (Run), and type explorer.exe in the Open box and click OK. If all goes well, your icons and Start Menu will appear and you can start cleaning up. Otherwise, you could try again and type appwiz.cpl in the Open box to bring up the Programs and Features to remove any bad programs you may find. Malware removal can takes years of experience, so I will leave it at that to try for a starting point.

Can't find my hard drive

Boot the node up and go into the bios settings, its either f1 or more common f2. Look to see if the hdd is listed. If so try to boot up. If that fails it's time to do a little diagnostics. Get another hdd of the same type and plug it in to see if it boots up. If it does then get a new hard drive. Just something else to try before putting the 2nd hdd in, take the cover off the computer and locate the hard drive and unplug the plug back in the ribbon cable and power connection.
