power on the printer
Wait for ready mode.
Press Menu -> Up -> Left -> Ok -> Right ->Cancel ->Menu
This will bring you the the Tech Menu, select it.
navigate to Data Setup (Down arrow) and press check
navigate to Clear Fuser Count and press check
Power on and off
Print a config from the reports menu to check if the fuser count 0.
keep in mind you have to press the keys (for getting tech menu) really quick, try not to look the display but the keys (the menu, up, left, ok, right, cancel, menu combination i mean)

There is no mention of resetting the counters during the replacement process in the manual for the printer. (Link below) Try powering off the printer by using a switch or unplugging it.
