My Lexmark Impact S305 will not print in color.

If you're using a remanufactured/refilled cartridge, the printer will not be able to recognize those cartridges after the firmware update. The firmware update restricts use of refilled/remanufactured cartridges. That's to prevent damaging the printhead.If you're using genuine Lexmark cartridges, please contact our technical support for assistance.

My Lexmark prevail pro 705

This article on How to Troubleshoot the Vizix Ink Technology will help fix print quality problems on your printer. To run the Deep Clean Printhead function on your printer -> on the printer operator panel, press Setup -> Maintenance -> select Deep Clean Printhead. Your printer will then print the test page. Why does printer print blank sheets of paper?

Blocked print head nozzles Inkjet printers need to be used frequently to prevent blocked print head nozzles. You may have blocked print head nozzles. Try the printer maintenance to clear the printer nozzles. After several deep cleaning attempts and there is no improvements in the print then a new print head is required. Also try - Removing the print head, run it under hot water for 2 mins, then let soak for 10 min. then used a can of compressed air to dry thoroughly. It may fix the blocked nozzles. A new print head maybe expensive and it maybe more cost effective to purchase a new printer.

Phone Line in use error

Try to plug in your printer straight to your wall jack and make sure that the cable is plugged in at the line port not the extension port. You can also try replacing the phone cable.

There's a problem with the printhead

Try this approach to fix the printhead problem:1. Open the printer cover > remove the ink tanks > open the printhead latch > remove the printhead > close the printhead latch.2. Visit the Lexmark website to download and install the Lexmark Pro700 Series Firmware Update.3. After the update is successful, open the printer cover > open the printhead latch > re-install the printhead > close the printer cover > if no error appears, continue with normal installation steps for cartridges. If error still appears, try to remove and re-insert the printhead firmly.4. Try to print again to verify that the problem is fixed.Should the error persist, it could be that the printhead itself is faulty. If that's the case, please contact Lexmark Technical Support for further assistance.

My printer is printing but i cant scan my

Make sure the Lexmark OCR scan software (used to scan documents, convert into PDF file or create multiple pages into 1 file). The software is available on the installation disc that came with the printer.

A quick fix for most communication errors can be achieved by resetting the printer and/or rebooting the PC. Simply disconnect the printer from your computer. Reboot your pc. Unplug and re-plug the printer into the power source to reset it. When the printer turns on, reconnect it to your computer. Then try to print again once the computer fully recognizes the USB connection.


If that doesn't help, try the steps below:

1. Disconnect the printer from your computer.

2. Re-brick your printer. Pull out the power supply, black box where the power cord is plugged in at the back of the printer, and put it back after 30 seconds.

2. On your computer, go to Control Panel > Printers and Faxes.

3. Delete the Lexmark print object.

4. Reboot your pc.

5. When your pc turns on, reconnect the printer.

6. Wait until your pc fully recognizes the USB connection. To check, go to Control Panel > Printers and Faxes. If you see a new Lexmark print object in the list, then try to scan a document again to verify that the problem is fixed.

My phone calls are only going through my fax how

Please refer to the Lexmark Pro700 Series User's Guide for a more comprehensive instructions on how to setup your printer for faxing. The Guide includes some tips on how to configure your printer when connected to a fax line being shared by the phone or answering machine.
