How can i fix error b200 ?

Hello thanks for using FixYa
According to Canon's documentation, Error b200 is simply listed as a printer error (not very descriptive). It is likely a hardware fault on a board, a physical hardware malfunction.

To solve it:
Turn off the machine, and unplug the power cord of the machine from the power supply. Again connect it and turn on.
If the problem is not resolved,
then best option is to take it back where you purchased it or contact Canon service center about the error code or
To get support by Canon on phone, then call at 1-800-OK-CANON (1-800-652-2666)
They will surely solve it.

For Further assistance, I am here to help,
Thanks, Keep Visiting FixYa

Says 'ink cartridge is not recognised' - can I

Check on Google for a work a round your dilemma. ****** printer companies just love hosing you with their ink products since that is where they make their money with printers. Design their printers to not accept "other" cartridges or just self destruct in relatively short time.

What caused my printer to power off and the power on will not turn back on?

Did you try a different outlet? If so then the logic board is gone. Maybe from a lightning strike or a power surge

Rihac ink not feeding the print heads

First things first I should declare to everyone that I am a printer technician at rihac (www.rihac.com.au).

There are a few possible causes for ink not flowing to the print heads. The best solution is to simply ring our tech staff on (03) 9005 5555 if in Australia or if outside Australia you are welcome to email our tech staff at [email protected] and they can call you back. Initially we would need more information to identify the actual issue.

Ink systems work on a very basic principal and most issues can lead back to the installation. There are a few 'golden rules' when first setting up an ink system which can prevent issues (like air in the lines) from occurring down the track. The biggest mistake people tend to make is installing the system without fully reading the manual as there are a few really quick and basic steps which are important to prevent issues down the track

One thing you will notice about the rihac inklink is that the main reservoir of ink sits slightly lower than the print heads, this is very deliberate and the reason is to protect the printer from ever flooding. Ink cannot travel uphill and if there ever was a failure the ink would flow back to the ink reservoir rather than into the printer.

So with this in mind there would always be a slight draw (or suction) from the print heads into the cartridges and eventually into the ink lines. So how do we stop air filling in the ink lines?. Well if you look at the ink reservoir you will see an extra tube in each colour reservoir. This tube is an air balance tube. This tube (when filled with air) balances the pressure of the ink (regardless of the level) and thus stops the minor suction effect and thus prevents air developing in the lines. The NO1 reason for lines is that during installation the balance tubes were not emptied of ink. It is such a simple step and takes literally seconds. If they are not emptied over time air is drawn in through the bottom of the cartridge and eventually into the ink lines. The No2 cause is that when refilling the ink system r tubes have not been blocked (or emptied). Again this causes air to develop in the tubes over time.

how to resolve the issue?. You have to remove the ink system and re-prime it. This process is quite simple and just a matter of following the instructions in the manual or simply contact us for an instruction sheet. Once re-primed the unit can be installed and will be back to printing perfectly.

There are other causes but this is certainly the common reason. Again we encourage you to contact us as we can speak with you, identify the issue and get you back up and running quickly.

One telltale sign the system has not had the air balance tubes empties is that the air filters will be stained from ink.

If you are still experiencing problems, you can email out tech team at [email protected] or call our office on +61 3 9005 5555 between 10am - 5pm AEDST Mon-Fri or visit the website www.rihac.com.au

Getting error code 6A80 I have checked for any

Hello Mark! Welcome to FixYa!If you get error 6A80, It probably means that paper was ripped inside, and one piece is stucked somewhere on a sensor. Usualy is the purge unit that clean up the print head, and it's located inside on the right side (printhead parking place). You have told that you have cleaned the print head but you have to check it again because mostly this error is surely be because of above cause, For it Take a torch, lift up the scanner unit, with the unit ON, wait for the print head to come in the middle, move it to left to make more room, and check the right side, inside the unit. If you find it on right side then remove itNow if error is still there then move to next given solution to solve this error 6A80:-Turned out to be the print head unit was not returning fully to the home position ie extreme right. When the scanning unit cover is raised the print head unit moves left for access, look in the vacated area to the right, in particular the small black sponge where the head normally parks. You may find a small spring jammed in beside the sponge, Just remove itIf problem is still there then it may be sometimes 6A80 error is an APP position error caused by the APP motor during the purging operation as the printer starts up. Basically there is an "App Sensor" which is reporting the issue in my case the problem was with the "Purge unit". Canon states that one of three components is likely to have failed, the sheet feed unit, purge unit or logic board. This problem may sometimes solved by EEPROM reset that can be done using the service manual or sometimes solved by following steps:-
  • Left up the cover to reveal the ink cartridges
  • Move the ink / print head to the left hand side
  • Look to the right under the flap where the ink would sit when printer is powered off
  • Underneath there is something in white that is flat - this is called a wiper.
  • Push this wiper with your fingers - pushing in the direction toward the front of the printer -you may need to do this a few times.
  • Power off and then power on (using button on the front and NOT by pulling the power out of the back)
After this if problem still exist then it may because of some hardware issue. If your printer is still in warranty then claim the warranty. If it is out of warranty then you have to contact authorized service center of Canon Printers to solve this problemI hope this solution helps you and you have clear picture in your mind nowLet me know if you have any confusion in your mind.Sir, Your Rating as FIVE Stars for this solution and words of appreciation will be esteemedThank You for taking my service Concerned: Muhammad Uzair Team : FixYa

Blue is missing, after diep

Your printhead is going bad. The contacts aren't making proper contact to read the cartridge. If you are refilling, you could have gotten a drop of ink on the contacts. Clean the contacts with a cotton swab moistened (not dripping) with alcohol. Also, NEVER touch the contacts on the printer OR the ink cartridge.
