Can my brothers printer work only on black ink (MFC 465 CN)

I am afraid you cannot print if (any) one of the cartridges is empty. Here is a screen capture from the properties of my MFC. At the bottom of the picture it says in French : Le MFC arrêtera l'impression Couleur/échelle de gris lorsqu'une ou plus des cartouches d'encre sera vide.

What it say in English is as follows: The MFC will stop printing in Color/Gray scale when one or more of the ink cartidges is empty.

Open the properties of the MFC. Under "Advanced" Tab Click the Printing Defaults at the bottom left. At the bottom of the window that pops up you will see the information that I translated for You.

Where is the waste cartridge located on the MFC-210C printer

This machine doesn't have a "waste cartridge" as such. The waste ink created when the machine cleans, flushes and purges the print head and ink supply mechanism, is dumped in to two separte recepticles - the Flushing Box and the Ink Absorber Box. Both of these boxes are located deep inside the machine and require substantial disassembly of the machine in order to reach them. In Brother's terms, they are not "user replaceable items" and are only supposed to be replaced by Brother technicians and/or a Brother service centre. They are available from specialist suppliers BUT are very expensive, so expensive that more often than not, it's cheaper to buy a new machine. However, if the reason for asking is because you have an error something along the lines of "unable to clean", this maybe that the Flushing/Purge counters have reached the limit set by Brother. These limits are very, very conservative (if too much ink is dumped into the Boxes it could overflow), so many peolpe (including me) just reset them back to zero. If you search Google or YouTube, you'll ome across many articles showing you how to do this.

Machine error 4F

This is the text accompanying Brother's error code 4F:"The head drive voltage hasdropped from the high tolow level in an abnormallyshort period. The head drive voltage hasnot risen to the specifiedlevel within the specifiedperiod in the self diagnosis."The manual states this can only be cured by a replacement print head and/or main circuit board - they are still available but will cost you almost as much as a new machine (plus fitting).Sorry, but your machine is beyond economic repair.

My brother MFC-295CN print blank pages

Inkjet printers need to be used frequently to prevent ink drying out and blocking the print head nozzles. If the print head cleaning maintenance routine does not clear the blockages, then print head needs replacing, but it may be expensive. It may be more cost effective to buy a later model and better printer than replace the print head.
