PRINTER WILL NOT RECOGNIZE PRINT CARTRIDGES.
The firmware update for the Lexmark Pro205 printer will help fix the problem where the printer is having trouble recognizing the ink cartridges and other issues. You can download and install the update for your Lexmark Pro205 printer by visiting the Lexmark website at
http://bit.ly/p205fw. If more than one download is available for your model, try the top download first.

Your cartridge may need to cleaned. On the printer operator panel, press Setup button -> Maintenance -> Deep Clean Printhead. Your printer will then print a test page forcing ink through the cartridge nozzles and clean them.
If that doesn't help, your printer probably needs to be updated. The firmware update, available at
http://bit.ly/p205fw, will help fix print quality issues.
Printhead error after brand new installation.
Try these steps instead:
1.
Remove the printhead from the printer.
2. Reset the printer by unplugging the power adapter from the printer (should
be the whole black box on the back of the printer), leave it unplugged for
about a minute then plug it back in.
3.
Once the printer is back on, it will ask for the printhead. Just disregard the
message by pressing or CANCEL button on your printer screen. Do not install the
printhead yet.
4. Then, please use this link: http://bit.ly/p205fw
to download and run the firmware on your computer. Please make sure that the
USB cable is attached from the printer to the computer while you do this.
5. Once the firmware update is complete, you may reinstall the printhead.
Hello. I'd like to use
The 105XL cartridge is only available for the higher-priced printer models like Pro805, Pro901 and Pro905. It's not compatible with your Lexmark Pro205. I'm sorry if I didn't have the answer you expected.
Need a new printer head
I'm assuming that you're getting an error message, "There's a problem with your printhead".
Try these steps:
- Open
the cover of the printer > Remove the printhead. If the printhead
will not go to the center, turn off the printer and pull the printhead
to the center.
- Once you have the printhead removed, close the cover of the printer and turn on the printer.
- It will ask you to "Open Cover to Install the Printhead". Press the Cancel (Red X) button.
- It should take you back to the "Copy" menu.
- Proceed with the firmware update. Just go to www.lexmarklabs.com/firmware and choose the model number of your printer.
- Once the firmware update is successful, go back to step 1 and install the printhead.

All color images are printing
This sounds like a blue ink cartridge failure or a clogged blue ink nozzle. If you have cleaned the nozzles, I would try another blue cartridge. if this does not solve the problem more aggressive cleaning may be required. Let me know and we can go throught the process. Thanks.

its peaty common in printer, Kindly have a look in detail , there should be a small peace of any paper or any kind of dust on your printer head .
Kindly cleen properley it should work , Or kindly If you can remove Head cabels and turn on and off again . then plug in again . it have to work. otherwise let me know . Shah
Installed a lexmark pro200 printer to windows 7,
No need to contact technical support for this. I just figured this out. Press the button with the wrench icon underneath the power button. This will take you to a setup menu for wireless access. Push the button "ok" for push button access and a Pairing Code with appear on the LED screen. Enter this code into the field of your add printer/device setup field in Windows7. Press ok and the Lexmark will be setup. I never saw this as an answer on any webpage.
