How much does it cost, per hour, to run a Comfort Zone electric heater (model no. CZ7007)?

Here is the easy way to find out. For a few dollars, you can buy a wattmeter of the type you plug in the wall and then plug your appliance into the meter. These meters will tell you the current power consumption, the accumulated power consumption, and can be programmed to automatically show you the cost-per-hour (or day, etc) to run your appliance. You can use them on any appliance. They have a simple digital read-out. Shop around to find one that does everything you want to know. Some have wattage limits, so be sure it will be enough for your heater. Heaters use a lot of power (watts).

I have been using my heater in the garage to prevent my water pipes from freezing. It just quit working today. The lights do not light and it will not heat any longer. What happened and what can I

Have you checked the circuit breaker or fuse for the circuit that your heater is on? It's possible that you had something else come on that, combined with the current draw of your heater, popped the breaker. If that turns out to be the case, turn the heater switch from high to medium or from medium to low so that you're drawing less current.

In the Comfort Zone CZ7007 is there a repaceable fuse & if so is it located above the thermostat inside the control panel cover and where can I find another. No heat from unit or lights in switch but

I''m replying almost a year later, but this may help others who are having this problem. There seem to be a lot of problems with the tip over switch in the Comfort Zone radiator heaters (this is the switch at the very top, inside the panel, above the thermostat). I had the same problem- no heat, switches weren't lighting up. I bypassed the tip over switch (we have never tipped over one of our radiator heaters, so it's not an issue) and connected the switch wires with a wire nut and then further secured the wire nut with electrical tape. Now the heater works as it should again.

Won't heat my studio - even on "HIGH"

Does it get hot? If so, that is all you will get! It is not made to heat a room of 20 X 15 X 8 feet high. That is 2400 cubic feet of air space that may or may not be insulated. You need a quartz heater or two that are designed with fans to heat larger areas (see the specifications on them). The oil filled radiator is to put next to your rocking chair or under your desk near your feet!

Hello, I hope all is well:

Good day, Doctor.

First, have you tested the wall receptacle that the heater is plugged into? Have you plugged a lamp or other electric appliance into it, to see if it's working? If nothing else works in that receptacle check for a tripped circuit breaker in the panel box of your home.I f there is one tripped, make sure nothing is plugged into the offending receptacle and reset the breaker, by turning it on. If one is tripped, now you need to figure out what tripped it. Was it the heater? Probably so. In any event, plug the heater back into the receptacle and turn the heater on. Did it trip the circuit breaker again? If so, there is an electrical short in the heater. Since you have only had it for 3 months, I would assume it's still under warranty. If so, follow the instructions in the Owners Manual about returning it to the manufacturer for repair or replacement.

Hope this helped to solve your problem.

How many amps does it draw?

There has to be a tag on the unit that can answer your question. On this tag you want to look for the run load amps. (RLA) Thats your answer.

How do you turn on

On the comfort zone CZ7007, the #1 rocker switch is for 600 watts, the #2 rocker switch is for 900 watts. If you flip 1 and 2 both to on you will get 1500 watts. Which is 600 and 900 added together. There is no down position, but only on and off.

My heater is smoking does that mean the oil is

That is a possibility, but for safety reasons I would recommend that you do not turn it on until you have someone with EXP look at it and see fit they can fix it or not.
