Nikon Coolpix L110 Digital Camera Questions & Answers
I have a Nikon Coolpix
Try resetting the white balance. Colors will change according to light source( temperature of light.) most cameras will have an option for light type. If you are using artificial light, note the color temperature of the bulb.
I have a Nikon Coolpix
You have a white balance issue. Somewhere in the menu system is a command to alter the white balance - for indoor shooting by artificial light (i.e. light bulbs) it should be set to 'tungsten'. Using flash would overcome this, but the pictures would look very harsh and unnatural.
I lost my Nikon Coolpix
There is no way to track a camera since it does not have any way of signalling its location such as a satellite connection, radio broadcast, or cell phone service. Sorry, but you will have to buy a new camera unless you can find it on your own.
Good luck!
Why is flash is making a popping sound
A popping sound is indicative of an electrical arc over. A capacitor is the probable source. Although you camera runs on 6 volts, the electronic flash fires at a much higher voltage. Circuitry in you camera boosts the voltage and capacitors often are used to double that voltage. Capacitors do not last forever. Your problem is that the L110's is an older and not a high value camera. It may be more expensive to have repaired then a new replacement will cost. If you know electronics and camera mechanisms you could take a crack at fixing it yourself, but the chance of your success is probably low.
Yellowish pictures
Turn your brightness up. I had the same issue so I went on the menu and turned the brightness up. If this isn't it then you may have to contact a professional. Good luck
I plugged in the usb
you could try to push the power button after the camera is plugged in, or even try plugging it in to a different computer
If my Nikon Coolpix L110 does not accept the memory card, whilst the card works in the computer, what is the problem with the camera, and how do I fix it?
Your camera is SDHC compliant, so the card should work in your camera. There are two things you must do. Check if the Lock "switch" is NOT in the lock position and second before using the card in your camera, you should format it in the camera. Although FAT32 is supposed FAT32 for every device, camera's can be very "picky" when it comes to formatting and saving pictures. Even when a card is formatted in a Coolpix L110 from someone els, it could be your camera can't work with it.
I hope al the contacts in the camera are still clean and shining and not one os bent or has (even the smallest) dent. Check this with a stri=ong light and eventually with a magnifying glass.
Why the screen flickers
I bought three L110's for my department at work a few years ago. Each camera is used to take over 200 pictures on the average work day. I never heard about that problem until today when I went to a presentation by Nikon on there new D810 camera. The expert mentioned that the screen flicker problem has occurred in some Nikon models and that the solution is to go to the Nikon website and download and install updated software for your camera. Search for your camera in the Service and Support section. You will find a link listing all of the models and download the upgrade and instructions there.
