Euro-Pro NV22 Shark Navigator Bagless Upright Vacuum Questions & Answers
My Shark navigator is making
I had the same noise coming out of the side of the canister although I would specify it as a sucking noise. The noise is coming out of a hole on the side of the canister. If you block the hole it sounds normal. This lead me to believe that there was no damage. After further research I found that this whole is actually a release when air cannot make it through the top of the canister. Simple resolution. Take the canister out of its holster and clean both the top part and the metal cone inside and your vacuum will work good as new :) ~=MaGiC=~

Brush roller won.t turn. It
Hello, this is Ava with Think Crucial.
There are a number of reasons why your brush roller has stopped moving. General maintenance of your vacuum is crucial and will help it work at peak performance.
First things first let's focus on the brush roller. Unplug the vacuum and turn it on its side. Look for any noticeable clumps of debris or hair strands that may be caught in the brush roller. Remove these obstructions, probably best to do so with a scissor if it's hair or long pieces of carpet fibers. After removing the debris try manually rotating the brush roller to uncover other hidden clogs. Another thing to take note of is the condition of the bristles on the roll itself. Are they lose or worn down? These are signs that your brush roller is in need of replacing.
While checking out your brush roll you might as well take a look at your vacuum's belt. Your belt should be replaced about every three months. After regular usage, the belt will stretch out, lessening the tension on the brush roller. Lesser tension diminishes the brush roller's turn rate and speed. If the belt feels loose then it certainly is affecting your vacuums suction as well as your brush roll not moving at all.

How do I register my shark model NV42?
Shark has no customer service dept. They do not make parts, and the machines are non repairable. If you just bought it, take it back and get your money back before it's too late. Quality vacs can be purchased for the same amount of money. Miele, Sebo, Riccar are all better and in the same price range.
Euro pro customer service
Shark has no service dept or customer service. They do not make repair parts. Sharks are true disposable machines.
THE ROLLER ON MY SHARK
We have only had our Navigator for 6 months and the bar won't turn. We took the whole beater bar head apart and it was a wiring problem in the beater bar motor.
What a piece of junk this is, very poorly made and has many design flaws.
Looking for something now to take it's place!
