Try to check the cables connecting at the back of your tv specially the input, output of your digital receiver if you are using one. Or try to use a dvd if there is a sound then the problem would be the receiver.

The Y-Board is probably the problem, that is a real common part that goes bad on this model.

What is the status of the LED at the front after the unit turns off? It should blink a certain number of times indicating an error code that should help us locate the source of the problem. Please count the number of blinks in between each pause and let me know.

I just looked up the manual online and it clearly shows that the screw size is M4 x L12 metric screws

the capacitors seem to have gone bad if they have like a black dot on them it is a sign they have actually blown they can be replaced by placing new ones on but it would be better if the board was replaced (unless you wish to replace those capacitors please please do be careful in doing so they hold enough charge to give you a bad zap even kill if one isnt careful)
