Select and hold both the HOME BUTTON and the POWER BUTTON together .. this will force the iPad into a reset mode.

plug it into a laptop/pc with itunes on . itunes will detect it and you can do a reset from there . if you got the ipad 2nd hand you might need an icloud account and pass word from previous owner or get them to take the ipad off there icloud account.

If you have shut down ipad completely and then tried the front camera then it appears to be dead. That device is very old and will not be cheap to fix unless your skilled at soldering.

Hi Linda, This is not particularly elegant but it should work. Go to the play store. Search for Safari. When it comes up 'uninstall' should be one of the options. Uninstall it.
