A im trying to start

Hi, you can download a manual here:

http://asrock.com/mb/manual.asp?Model=K7VT4A PRO

Here you also find drivers.

You may have to unzip the file before installation.
Do you use the right type of ram ??
The ram module could have a defect.
Have you insertet the cpu properly ??
You can maybe try with another AGP graphic card.
Or the card is not insertet in the slot properly.

Remove the graphic card and try to clean the contact points
on the card with a piece of paper.
I guess its just a bad connection or the card is defect.

You can read all about that red led in the manual.

My asrock motherboard doesnt detect

One bad lead can cause a computer to continue on a cycle or to shutdown or fail to detect your hard drive

Test all leads that attach to your hard drive including electrical extensions,IDE,SATA

the leads from your ((motherboard to your hard drive)) make sure they have a secure connection and are not faulty or just replace them there probably old and faulty make sure all leads that are attached to your drives dvd\cd 3 1/2 inch floppy have secure connections and are not faulty even the electic extensions or just replace them they are probably old and faulty a computer needs its connections to have an end so any faulty leads will end up with a computer error hope this helps don

Before booting 3 long beeps 10 sec silent then 3

This is an issue that one of the devices is not properly seated on the board or it is not detecting them correctly.

To fix:

1. Remove all devices from the board. All cables coming from Hard drive/CD-rom. Remove the RAM and processor. LEAVE TH E POWER SUPPLY CABLES CONNECTED TO THE BOARD.

2. Re-seat the processor on the board.

3. Re seat the memory on the board.

4. Now re-seat the video card making sure that you push it firmly in place. Connect a monitor to the video output.

Try and boot the computer. If it boots and you see output on the screen then the issue is fixed.
If if does not boot you have a problem with one of the following: RAM, Processor, Video Card, or motherboard.

2) The bios may be out of date.Put back the 256MB module and do a bios update.

Problems with boot windows7

If you have a working version of windows to work with you should be able to start the install from in windows. Seems alot of people have this issue. If you burned the disc try burning the ISO at a slower rate. I also cam across this forum that has a few other options for you:

Hi, on boot up from cold, computer hangs before

Hi , Your bootup Relies alot on your RAM , swapping it around wont make a difference , Try running Memtest http://hcidesign.com/memtest/ .
see if your Ram is ok , and take it from there , if it shows your RAM is faulty you might need to Replace it , and if it isnt Faulty , Try Taking 1 Part out at a Time and try booting For example , only boot with 1 Ram Card , Boot with MB GFX , and so on.
I Hope This helped
Thanks

Hi my computer motherboard asrock k7vt4a pro

Check wether the processor cooler is still working. If it isn't , I can help you get a new one.
If it is, rmove the disket station, see if tht helps. If you can then boot, first install the drivers for the station I can help find them), if there are any, then build it back in.
If that doesn't help either, take out again, update your BIOS (I can also help with that) and build it back in.
Let me know what happened soon,
Yannick.
