Those problems are the worst. Make sure your motherboard is set to report all errors.Try disconnecting everything from the motherboard adding them back one at a time. Try just the video card, hard drive and once piece of memory and see if it starts up normally. If you can't find anything there, try running a memory test program. Memtest86 and Windows memory diagnostic (by Microsoft but doesn't need Windows to run it). If it finds errors replace the memory.

When you play an audio file it does not tell you that it is not able to play because there is no sound device?

Ok then what you will need to do is Go to Control Panel Doubke click on Sounds and Audio Devices...Ensure there is no check mark in the Mute section
Go to the Audio tab and ensure that you have a Default Playback device if you do not try to select the one you installed from the drop down menu.

If this does not work then you will need to right click on My Computer click on Properties then select the Hardware tab then click on the Device Manager Button. From there you will need to look for the catagory called Sound Video and Game Controller to see if you sound card has been install properly if it has not been instsalled properly then you will see a ! or a ? where the device is. If you are able to provide the type of audio device I can find you the driver.

There have been many issues with the Windows XP Service Pack 3. The 'bugs' are supposed to be close to being worked out.

For ->MYSELF, I wouldn't use SP/3. However, SP/3 is 'slid' into your registry, if you have automatic updates turned on.

If you hear just one short beep on the onboard speaker it means that everything is fine. You should download the drivers for the onboard sound from Asrock website.

do did not maintain that how much your graphic card memory. if it is less then go to bios setup and share the main memory to it.

i have problem my motherboard asrock k7s41gx i install the os xp service pack 3 but the audio didnot detect and the video card didnot detect how i do to detect the audio and video card

check conections, did you isolated bolts while you ware inserting mother board? check condensators on mother board if there are some leeks... if this is the case ,,, buy a new mother board? is mother board new?

download the user manual(not quick installation guide) and check page no 7 or content 1.3 to get the jumper pins to reset the motherboard.
just short those pins and the cmos settings will be gone.

another simple method is just remove the battery and wait for 5 min and again plugin the battery.
thats it you motherboard is resetted to factory settings.

If you have internal graphics, you need to enter the BIOS and change the vide setting to PCI-E, AGP,Etc.., save and exit the BioS, power off PC, then install video card, make sure all needed power connectors on vide caard are plugged in (some nes cards require a plug from the power supply to be used as well as the power provided from the PCI-E slot)

try to check your RAM.. maybe your ram is LOSE connection or physically damaged.

Highest model cpu your board can support is the AMD Athlon XP model 3200. This is not a dual core cpu. You would need to upgrade to a newer motherboard in order to use a dual or quad core cpu. Hope this helps.
