Essick Air MA0800 Humidifier Questions & Answers
What element goes in the ma0800
It's an Essick Air MAF-2. You can get a third party one at Lowe's, just look at the box in the store to find your model #MA0800.
I have the MA0800 and
Change the filter then unplug the unit from the electrical outlet and the code will be cleared. Just shutting the humidifier off won't clear the code, it has to be unplugged from the power to clear the flashing CF.
I cant get it to go over 40%
Hello,It sounds like you need to clean the unit from scaling and debris to increase the output capacity. There should be a removable filter as well that will need to be replaced if it is in bad enough condition, it uses a "MAF-2" filter.
Here is a product brochure.Hope this helpsJames
How often and how to
Some do it annually-- some do it 3 or 4 times a winter-
It depends upon your water, and how steady yours runs--
How many gallons do you go thru a week?
Very hard water leaves lots of scale, and the pad/filter needs to be changed much more often--
Do you like it clean and neat-- or do you not mid the build up of minerals, and mold?

How and when do i clean the filter
I assume when you say FILTER-- you mean the wicking pad, right?
This is the pad that absorbs the water, and rotates into the path of the air stream- thus increasing the humidity in the room..
I just did a quick search on the internet, and I came across a review on this humidifier--- Here is what she says:
Usually we start running it in late October. It is December now and we
have bought THREE pads already this year. One pad should last at least
for the few months we use it each year.
If you are fussy, you might want to change it 2 or 3 times in a winter-- others might last thru the whole winter-- Obviously it will have less mold, and will evaporate better, the more often you change it.

How do I fix the fan on my D46 720 humidifier?
Working on line voltages without safety precautions and experience may cause injury and electric shock.
Check the switch and connecting wires from mains to fan motor. Similarly check there is no obstacles restricting to move fins. Usually fan motors are heavy duty motors and rarely become defective.
