Lower guides not moving in ratio with each other

Two ways:
Either you uncrew the guides and put the back correctly or
Press on the black on or pull gently on the green one so that it will be forced back in its original position. In fact someone pulled or pushed on the guides and they are no more correctly positionned

Black ribbon is not back feeding same amount/speed

This is due to the quality of the ribbon.
When the paper moves back, since the head is not raised, the paper rubs on the ribbon en is the cause of the black smudge. Use correct Ribbon

Software reloaded = Teklynx Labelview Drivers

I looked this problem up on the net, and ran across this web blog. They suggest a procedure to try, and maybe it will help you:

If that doesn't help, the sensor could be bad, and needling replacement.

RIBBON ERRORS

Ribbon error message is displayed when the rotation of the ribbon spindle is not performed or not correctly detected. This can be due to various factors.
- The ribbon roll is not correctly fitted to the spindle.
- The sensors detecting the rotation are out of order or completetly filled with dust or grease.
In this case clean the sensors.
Another reason may be due to Direct thermal printing with a ribbon mounted.

Im getting paper jam printing

Check your label size, type of sensor and try to recallibrate the printer. In case of preprinted labels do as in the owners manual for preprints and select this function in the driver.

Yes you have to have a driver or send tpcl commands
The other solution is to install a cups driver.

Euro Symbol Printing

0128 is not a recognisable sysmbol Go to the Toshiba web site and the tech Support team- evidently there has been an error in the printed instruct as to the symbol number.

Hi,

Why do you want to disable these buttons?
In case of problems during printing you need them.
You can just unplug the cable and yours buttons will be inactive.

Ribbon error on B-EX4T1 with direct thermal labels

First of all, With any Toshiba label printer, after a parameter reset, you must send a label before doing a feed. Otherwise the printer will try to feed the ribbon. You can use the setting tool to tell set the printer to direct thermal also. Easiest way is to use the windows driver , add a label format coresponding to the one you are using, verify in the support tab that you are in direct thermal, do a test test print from the driver and you'll solve your problem

Perform hard reset of electronics and also re install the driver.
