Samsung Dishwasher (DMR57LFS): Error code oE. Fills...fills some more...then drains.

Samsung Dishwasher 0E Error - We had other appliances on that circuit. We believe when those appliances were turned on it created an undervoltage condition in the dishwasher, causing another sensor to send the high level error code 0E. We believe this is the problem because it only started after we added the new hot water dispenser on the same circuit. The problem went away when we leave it off for the whole dishwasher cycle. I'm guessing it could also be caused by brown-outs and other large electrical loads cycling in the same household. That's the theory anyway. The folks who sold us the dishwasher suggested turning off the breaker, to reset the computer. Good idea, but not for our particular case.

I keep getting an SE code. How do I fix that?

That error code indicates a drain error or problem. Many times it is caused by something stuck in either the drain hose or drain pump, obstucting the water flow, or blocking the drain pump impeller itself. This is not an easy job, nor one recommended for the average home owner. You will probably want to call a professional dishwasher repair technician. I would recommend calling Sears Home Services at 800-4MYHOME = 800-469-4663. If you need further help, reach me via phone at https://www.6ya.com/expert/ronald_e6b9572cebe3ad27

What could be the problem on my Samsung DMR57LFS dishwasher with an E9 error after the low-level sensor is cleaned but the error still exists?

I have a Samsung stainless steel tub dishwasher and only 2 months after we had it installed we had all sorts of issues with it. We were lucky it was under warranty and turned out parts needed to be changed - upgrades from Samsung that were not done i nthe store where we purchased the dishwasher.. You may want to check with Samsung with your Mode land Serial Number you never know, there might of been a recall. Good Luck! Samsung dishwasher no power/display off

The Samsung DMR57LFS Dishwasher has a 15 Amp/250VP Volt Fuse located on the lower right side of dishwasher behind an aluminum panel held by two screws. Pull dishwasher out from counter, remove lower rectangular aluminum panel, and it is just inside underneath. Unscrew fuse holder and replace fuse. I had to pay a Samsung Authorized Repairman $109.70 to replace a simple fuse. I learned the hard & expensive way. Samsung won't tell you to check the fuse underneath the unit. They won't even tell you that there is a fuse underneath on the right side. The fuse protects the Printed Circuit Board or Blue LED Control Panel in the event of a power surge or lightning strike. The less than $4.00 fuse will blow first.

Samsung dishwasher sprays gunk all over my glasses. When the cycle is over they are coated with dried bits of gunk. Dishes are dirtier than when they went in.

I have the same problem with gunk and spots on dishes. I took apart the parts at bottom covering the heating element. There is all sorts of gunk on everything. I cleaned it all, even under gaskets and filter screen. I am neither sure what caused it nor how to prevent it. My thinking maybe the water source. Water in my town has gotten worse in quality and has bad smell. I use a major water filter system for drinking water. My thought is that the heating element is drying the water up and leaving sediment from water.

Samsung DMR57 dishwasher - Food grit and grime is

make sure that your unit is draining completely, if not then the sump needs to be serviced and cleaned out professionally. Make sure all your wash arms are clear, pull them off and check for stuck toothpicks, food debris etc. Next make sure that they spin freely on their posts. There are some other issues that would cause this problem as well. Your fill valve for the dish washer could clogged, the wash pump motor propeller could be broken or full of food particles. There is also a possibility that the wash pump motor and propeller are okay but the seal is broken around the wash pump. These issues should be addressed by a pro. in the meantime you can check the wash arms, and make sure that your water filter in the house (if you have one is clean).

How do i replace the

This is not as bad as it looks, the Pump motor is more challenging. If your sump needs to be replaced then do the following. Unplug the unit, shut off the water, and remove the racks. Next remove the wash pipe that goes from the sump to up the back and over the top, it just pulls out but be gentle. Next remove all the screws on top of the screen and pull that out. You will see a gasket seal that is either stretched or broken. Next remove the white Pump wheel by turning the screw clockwise (the threads are reversed so it does not unscrew when the pump is running). Now pull up on the grey plastic wash pump housing. You will see the grinding blade that pulls off the wash pump motor shaft. There is your sump. If you need to change the pump you'll have to turn the unit over. Chances are all you'll need to do is really clean out the sump and replace the stretched out seals, available online for about 15.00 or so. Reassemble and start washing. good luck.

My dishwasher is so stinky in between running it.

You will find a lot of buildup under the door inside the machine. Also starches will gather inside the sump. Here's how you get rid of the funk. Start a wash cycle, first run the hot water on the kitchen faucet to speed things. Place your detergent in the door and dump about 2 cups of either white vinegar OR CLR into the bottom of the unit. Let the unit complete it's cycle and presto no more smells. I had this problem and did just that. It works wonders, good luck.

I dropped a screw into the lower basket and it

Items that fall into the sump need to be removed ASAP here's how you do it. First shut off the electricity and the water. Open the front door and remove both the racks. Next you need to remove the wash pipe that goes from the sump up the back of the unit and over the top to the top wash arm. To do this simply apply pressure forward and unsnap the plastic pipe from the holders, next pull upwards to take the lower end of the rectangular pipe out of the sump, put this aside. Now you will see many screws that hold down the screen, remove these, they are about 2 inches or so long. Pull up on the sump cover and you will see the white/yellow nylon wash pump wheel. (note that the black seal will most likely stretch out and not fit back into the channel that it came out of, you can either buy a replacement seal or do what i did and cut the excess and re-attach it using hi-temp permatex gasket sealant this worked for me for over three years) remove the plastic wash pump wheel by turning the bolt counter clockwise (it is a left hand thread). it will pull up and out. Next remove the bottom grey plastic (this is were the seal sits) just gently pull it up. you will now see the bottom of the sump along with the cutting blade. You will also see any debris that is stuck in there. Remove all the debris, glass, straws etc. Use a wetvac as this might be the safest, I prefer to dig the stuff out by hand to see what actually caused the pump to make so much noise. After this re-assemble and remember to pre-rinse your dishes the next time before putting them into the dishwasher, mashed potatos will gum up the sump and drain valve like you have never seen. Be sure to clean all the parts well before re-assembly and then you will have a brand new machine!

My dishwasher will not drain

Hello, Welcome to FixYa.

The 0E code as it pertains to your Samsung is as follows according to the Samsung service manual...

ERROR TYPE - High water level detected.

**before proceeding turn the dishwasher power off via the home breaker panel, or unplug it from the wall if that is possible...most are hard wired to the home electrical...safety first**

The first thing to do is remove the toe panel/kick plate and inspect the base for water. There will likely be water present.

With the aid of a sponge, towels, or a wet-dry shop vacuum, absorb the water from the base, that should restore normal operation...it should be known that if you leave the unit for a few days, the water in the base will evaporate hence appearing as everything is fine again...if any other problem/leak does exist it will return.

If the unit works fine after resetting the power/breaker and soaking up any water present, it can likely be chalked up to a drain back-up or obstruction in the drain hose or pump... (it could mean a faulty drain pump so you'll need to pay close attention the next few times you run it)

If you don't think this is something within your scope of abilities please call an authorized Samsung service center in your area.

Let me know what you find and I'll be glad to help you in whatever manner I can. I do have a service manual for Samsung dishwashers ( essentially all the same as for components and repairs) but you'll need to provide an email address for me to send it via pdf attachment. Good luck.

Regards,

Macmarkus :)

Water discharge is very slow

Hi

This error code indicates a kinked or bent drain hose. A good indication that the drain hose is kinked and excessive water in the bottom of your dishwasher after a cycle has been completed. If your dishwasher is displaying error code 5E, your dishwasher will have to be removed to inspect the drain hose for kinks. If your dishwasher was professionally installed, contact the installer to remove the dishwasher and inspect the drain hose. If you installed the dishwasher your self, the dishwasher will have to be removed for drain hose inspection.

Please get back to us if you have further query else please accept the suggestion.

Thank you for contacting fixya.com
