first thing to do is to check if u have power to washer. check to make sure the breaker in your main electric panel is not tripped. If it is ok then take front cover off kick panel make sure that the wires running to the washer are not loose. be sure to turn off the breaker first. IF they are tight then turn on braker and check wires at washer connection with volt meter to see if u have power.

With the float up, it signals to the washer that it is at it's full limit of water, and won't allow the pump to introduce more water, so it won't start. Just locate the float, lift it, and see if it drops back down on its own.
