Another question How do i know what songs are on

Connect it to a PC and view the track list. And you will see the song list provided you have tagged them in the first place.Downloaded music are usually tagged but when you rip your own MP3 music the titles have to be manually fed into the computer.

I dont know how to

This is simply because the Eclipse MP3 player does not read .AVI formatted videos. The videos must be in .AMV format. A good way to convert your .AVI videos into .AMV is to use FreeAMVConverter located at the following link. http://www.amvvideoconverter.net/. You can use this to convert your videos to .AMV format and then they should work.
Hope this helped, NathanTaylor

Eclipse MP3 Player- Wont charge. I plug it in and

People on other posts said to get a wall charger and that'll work. We looked for one, but couldn't find one. We ended up using a usb camera upload cord that had the same connector. It charged just fine after that. We have a 180 Eclipse mp3 player...I'm guessing the cord connectors are pretty universal.

I have downloaded music into

You have to follow both steps on the instruction manual. When you first plug it into your computer it prompts you to name it. Then sync the music files off of Windows Media player..then you must do the second part where it explains about copying and pasting the music to it..this link opens the pdf manual that explains it just like the directions that came with it. http://www.eclipsemp3.com/CLD2manual.pdf

I think people are getting confused and thinking that step is only suppose to be used if they can't sync it ..but you actually have to do that part too or the files won't go onto the MP3 player.

Eclipse mp3 player says "no file"

I had the same problem. I think most files that itunes uses are in a .m4a format. The eclipse mp3 player will need all the music files in an .mp3 format. The eclipse actually has a "software" folder that includes the "replay converter" that will convert these files for you - or you can download any number of freeware that will convert the files as well. Once I converted those files, my eclipse played everything. Prior to that - even though I had synced everything with my Windows Media player, I was getting the "No Files" message. Good Luck!

To use it without iTunes, you can just go to any free music download site and download and save music. Could a driver problem cause a mp3 player not to be read by your laptop?

Yes, the drivers have to be installed in order for the computer to identify any device attached to it. If your laptop is a windows machine you can check whether drivers are installed by entering device managerand checking whether there are any items under the "other devices" drop down. The exclamation mark on that tab indicates that the drivers are not installed. If your mp3 is attached to the computer and not listed there it will be in need of the appropriate drivers
