How to reset bios password on hp 6540b

I wish I could have tested it first but you can still try the Shotgun method. Your options are. Contact HP. http://welcome.hp.com/country/w1/en/contact_us.html Or download these files. https://www.dropbox.com/sh/zu4kdgxm052l87d/AAAMi-kfX4AVH8oTCbsOM4X9a?dl=0 Insert clean USB flash drive. Then run USB Image tool. Choose the flash drive then click on RESTORE. After restore remove flash drive. Insert flash drive into locked laptop and boot. "If HDD is installed remove before booting." At C:\OUTPUT type CD.. "Then hit enter" Type HPBR "Then hit enter" First thing is to save your settings. Select #3 re-program. Press "S" to save system information. Type HPBR and hit enter. Since your model is not listed select "SHOTGUN." After reboot repeat "SHOTGUN" a second time. Let me know the result so I can update my list. Some instructions here. "If you cannot boot from USB there are instructions to make a bootable HDD." http://mazzifsoftware.blogspot.com/2014/01/hp-bios-unlock-for-dos.html More help here. http://forums.mydigitallife.info/threads/49497-HP-Probook-Elitebook-BIOS-Password-Reset-Utility?s=ad18a86dbbaf34999e22b1225a42a395 REO I must inform you that these services are not endorsed by HP, and that HP is not responsible for any damage that may arise to your system by using these services. A major problem of Skype!

what OS? windows, and What windows, XP? HP sold it with 7 different OS, (xp to w7 ./32/64bit) and linux. I cant know what you use for sound at all. the PC has sound chip and 2 speakers and mic., external speakers, or sound buds, what? tell what you have first. 4510s tells little. if you have USB headphones there, it WILL mess up. USB adds a 2nd sound chip set and they clash with onboard set. in fact buying new headphones with USB sound and boom mic built in then going in to device manager and disabling the onboard sound makes the head phones work real well. its not metal bs. sorry. that is jive. i the sound test fails, then it failing that you can be sure. if no bud, or headphones of any kind and only internal speaker ;.mic is used then down load the drivers from HP for you sound is that hard? here https://support.hp.com/us-en/product/HP-ProBook-4510s-Notebook-PC/3934828

My toshiba laptop screen is completely black

Your laptop screen may be dead. Please test it using an external monitor. If it works good with an external monitor, then you need to replace the screen. eBay.com is a good source.

Water fall into my laptop, whenever i switched it on nothing appear on the screen

you should not turn it on, open it ,make sure, its completely dry on every part of motherboard, you can use a little bit of dryer heating, fix everything, try turning on, If not take to store for repairing., water makes the circuit to go shortcircuit, should never turn on system on water spill issues.

Hi, i hav a probook 4510s laptop & i cant get the mouse pad to work... when the lappy is starting up, in the left hand top corner is says - no mouse detected. please help!

If this is a recent occurance, shut down, unplug, remove battery, plug in, push the on/off button and do a System Restore to a date before this problem. Perhaps the TouchPad driver is in error. You can try a external USB mouse to troubleshoot the problem in Device Manager to verify the driver or device isn't in error. I think HP TouchPad software is Synaptics Pointing Device, check your your Tray Notification Area for the icon, right click, select Pointing Device Properties. Or Control Panel, select Mouse.

Missing Operating System on D: partition Bootup

Follow the steps from this site http://www.wikihow.com/Change-the-Active-Partition-of-Your-Hard-Disk-with-Parted-Magic. When you changed the active partition you told the computer to look for information from the wrong partition. Using the program from that site will allow you to make the other partition active again. You'll then be able to boot into Windows again. As far as making backup discs, I believe you hit F11 while booting to access the recovery partition. From there you can make your recovery discs. Not 100 percent sure on that though. And you will need to get the windows partition set back as active first.

Hp probook 4510s key board problem

You can try cleaning keyboard with a toothbrush, but with repairing computers for 15 years I find - a) buy a USB keyboardb) buy and install a new laptop keyboard (easy-ish install)c) install Sharpkeys - a program that changes a key of your choice to act like something else (example # becomes K)
