USING THE Installer of your XP installer to portable dvd drive it still not working to reinstall the windows. the problem of your msi netbook is the hard drive. may sulotion for that. used desktop CPU and put the harddrive of your msi and into the CPU of desktop. then Checkdisk your hard drive. and after that finish the checkdisk. get your hard drive and put again to your netbook. and try to reinstall then XP. thnx i hope am i share my knowlage

You need to get an external dvd drive, then either the recovery disk that came with your computer (you may have had to make it), or you need a copy of Windows that is the same version as the one installed on your computer from the factory (look at the Certificate of Authenticity on the bottom of laptop or under the battery). Turn on the computer, then tap the F11 key until you get the "boot menu". Insert your disk into the DVD drive, and select USB DVD drive from the boot menu... follow the installation instructions from there.

Depending on the brand, you should hit function, then F7. Then you can cycle through the modes. Normal (just the laptop screen) , TV (or video) out, and last mode is screen AND TV out. I used to set up laptops for presentations, and I would hook up a video projector to the VGA out, then the presenter could look at his screen and use the mouse while folks followed him on the big screen behind him.
