Spitfire controls Clock/Timer on Oven

all a relay is a on off switch. 120v goes into L2in and into a control relay post where it sits sits until 12V energizes the relay coil thus producing an electromagnetic effect which draws the relay contact to a closed position thus placing the 120v from L2in to the 120v L2 out post this voltage then goes on to the oven heating element.Circuit board voltages which are 16V are derived from L1 which comes in as 120v goes through a step down transformer and gets converted to 16 vac, the voltage then goes through a bridge rectifier which turns the voltage to DC the DC voltage is routed to the various electronic components, op-amp, microprocessor, etc.

Water doesn't heat up

The most common reason for no heating is the failure of the heating element which is located beneath the lower spray arm. Inspecting it for breaks and damage would be the first step. If you do not see obvious damage, after triple checking that poser is off to the DW, pull the kick panel from your DW and check where the heavy gauge wires connect to the two terminals of the heating element.

Kenmore elite model 665-17469300 will not

Hi there,

Well first of all you can check the door and make sure it is closed and locked. If door is not locked, the dishwasher will not operate. Listen for the door switch to "click" when the door is closed. If it doesn't, you may need to replace it. You can also try to reset the dishwasher by press these -

Please post comments for further help or information......

Good Luck!!

Thanks

Our Kenmore Dishwasher caught fire.

You may want to contact Sears to see if there was a recall on your model dishwasher. There were problems with the door assemblies on some model dishwashers that were caused by the rinse agent leaking into the wire harness of the door. Over time the rinse agent would corrode the wire insulation causing the units to catch fire in some cases. The fix was a free inner door and wiring harness upgrade kit from the manufacturer. Here is a link you can refer to that may offer some assistance:

http://www.cpsc.gov/cpscpub/prerel/prhtml07/07190.html

Although I did not see your model number listed, you may want to call the Consumer Product Safety Commission number listed at the bottom of the page and report this incident.

I hope this offers some assistance to you.

If the dry light is flashing you will need a new keyboard, if the clean light is flashing try this key dance

normal, heated dry, normal, heated dry

wait for the lights to come on and then go off, press cancel and wait 2 minutes, try a cycle. If it works and fails again let me know we can dig deeper to find out the root cause

1st check for power at the incoming supply located behind the btm access panel. if u have a meter this can be checked. should have 110 volts if not u have an electrical problem, if u have 110 volts then id say your board may be bad. can turn off the breaker to the dishwasher wait 5 minutes then turn breaker back on, may reset board.

Has become very noisy during sensing cycle.

Either the motor is failing to pump water or there is too much soap in the system. Add 1/4 cup veg oil and run again.

Dishwasher not cleaning dishes

I had the same problem and fixed it by disassembling the lower spray arm and return filter, and cleaning all the junk out.
Most dishwashers have 'risers' that bring the water up to the top sprayer or arm located under the top rack. If the recirculating pump is plugged even a little there won't be enough volume or pressure to get the water up there.
Test this by putting a dry muffin pan in the top rack, flat, and running the dishwasher for a bit. If there is no water on the top (or the bottom) either the top sprayer or the sprayer arm underneath the top rack is not getting enough volume.
To fix this you need to clean out the screen and filter, where the water returns to be recirculated. If you don't have any confidence to remove the parts and clean it out yourself, get an appliance repair person to do the job.

How long is too long?

I doubt it. If the unit has a mechanical timer, it is binding. If the shaft cannot be cleaned up, it will have to be replaced. Typical times are 40 minutes to an hour, depending on the cycle.

My older built in Kenmore 3380957 Rev.A dishwasher.

If it is doing when it is washing, then it likely to be a problem with the pump, but it might just be 'hunting' because the filters are partially blocked. There is the filter that you can see easily, but there is a fine filter underneath that blocks with fine grey lint. Water left in the bottom can be caused by that because the drain pump is past the filter and is on a timer. https://www.google.com/search?q=Kenmore+3380957 ..

Hinges are very noisy when opening or closing door of my Kenmore dishwasher model 587.1527. What can I check to resolve problem?

To open the Kenmore World class dishwasher, follow these means:

Press-and-hold down the "Sani-Wash" button for somewhere around three seconds until the showcase screen counts down from three to nothing. The red "Lock" Drove ought to now douse and you ought to now have the option to get to each of the buttons on the control center.
