I find no way to disable the CID record feature. If you wish to neither see nor record CID, contact your service provide and unsubscribe to the CID service. Likely the two ring answer is "toll saver" You'll need to retrieve new messages. Once all new messages have been reviewed, it should return to the programmed number of rings, see "ring time" in the manual. ALL messages may be deleted as follows; delete all messages With the phone in standby, press Delete; press Delete again to confirm. If answering system messages have been retrieved, a continuing flashing indicator could be your voice mail service; Voice Message Notification • If you subscribe to a voice mail service, your phone can notify you when you have a new message. Likely unit kaput, but battery suspect. Try different battery, not necessarily new but if you have a second known good Uniden handset with same battery, swap batteries.

I suspect remote is unable to communicate with the base and is reporting the issue as power loss at base.

So does the base function, makes and receives calls?

Reset the base unit and power supply by unplugging the base power supply from the wall, wait at least 1 minute, plug base power supply back into wall outlet.

Reset remote by removing battery wait a minute, reinstall battery.

If after the reset the base can't make/receive calls, its likely failed.

If the base works and the remote still reports base power issue, could be either base or remote.

not knowing what phone it is make this hard. It will be in the setup menus but most systems will probably be limited to 6.
