Hi you could not say that there should be no water>> but it can occur because due to high humidity water can easily get inside.Anyway,only lodged of water is not the reason the main strip (pata) frequently damage/break so if all the other function are working perfectly change the strip.Or sometimes the strip of the LCD also damage easily because this very parts had been inserted by bending the lcd strip.It will cost you $2-$3.No matter what it is under warranty or not.But it is up to your wish.Good luck.Thanks for visiting fixya
