ensure TV's 'mute' is not on. use buttons on TV to adjust volume up and down. if not working properly, you may have a volume adjustment on your cable modem which needs to be turned up to maximum. if sound works, all is well. if sound still not acceptable your TV needs repair. if TV buttons adjust volume OK, and your remote for TV does not properly adjust volume, try fresh batteries. if remote still not working properly, you can buy replacement on EBay or try a genaric remote from a dollar store. also, i may have an extra remote for you.

Unplug it, take the back off and have a look. If something was popping, im sure you will find which board blew out. Make sure you get the full model and serial number so that when you order a replacement, you get the right one.

hi this fault could be one of the buffer boards, there's ic chips on these board usually burn out causing the ysus board to fail i'd look for tech in your area hope it helps regards shaun

If the problem is same with different input devices and you have ensured the are no loose contacts in power outlet, RC jack, cable and sockets, the TV needs servicing.

There is some overheating problem in your tv. In all plasma tvs the will be cooling fans to maintain the teparature level. In some models there will be two fans. If the fan didn't run at the correct RPM the teparature will incrase and this will sensed by the thermal sensors and shuts of the tv preventing from further damages. Chek the fans inside you tv. If it is availabel near by you then try to replace it. If the fan is stuck then try to iol the same. To know how to oil the dc fan watch the following video.

if it is Brand new I think you should return it ASAP

I just looked up the manual online and it clearly shows that the screw size is M4 x L12 metric screws

check the display strip. un plug it and fix it

the capacitors seem to have gone bad if they have like a black dot on them it is a sign they have actually blown they can be replaced by placing new ones on but it would be better if the board was replaced (unless you wish to replace those capacitors please please do be careful in doing so they hold enough charge to give you a bad zap even kill if one isnt careful)
