Can you access the images on your computer ? If you can, then the fault lies in the camera. If you cannot, then the card may have become corrupted and you will have to rely on your backup copies.

An odometer usually indicates a distance traveled. This may be showing if you've got GPS enabled.

I'm assuming that the camera has worked properly in the past and that this is a new issue. You've replaced the batteries with fully charged ones and they are the correct, recommended batteries. I ask because some prefer Alkaline, some Lithium, some rechargeable, etc. Also ensure that the individual battery output power as listed on the battery, is in line with your camera's requirements. Your owner's manual will provide this information. If everything is correct and you still have same issue, it could be that the camera's internal computer has gone bad. Contact customer service and even if you no longer have a valid warranty, they can still refer you to one of their authorized service centers.

It works just the same as you view your photos, only the video clip will show player buttons at the bottom. Use the left/ right and select buttons of the camera to play the video clips.

The time limit is set because the image sensor in the camera heats up. You need to give it some time to cool between shots. The record time is set so permanent damage will not happen to the image sensor. Sorry. That time cannot be changed.

If the camera is older than 4 years old you can not use a large memory card in it. Try using a 2 gig card. That is the only fix that does not need a professional.

I would not try myself. It is likely to require very delicate connections. If you don't care about using the camera, then go ahead. If you care, see what a repair job will cost.

The software depends on the camera being plugged into the computer, and having the camera turned on.
